Liz graciously accepted the bright yellow badge. She spun around and held it high above her head with her pointer and middle fingers. She planted her feet and brought her arm down to chest level. After a moment she shook her head to herself and laughed.

While she waited she ran to the pokemart and bought three great balls, and two more pokeballs, just to be safe.

After she was done shopping she picked up her Pokemon and decided that Rin wasn't coming after all. She sighed inwardly, disappointed that her rival didn't show up. Liz turned with a dramatic flick of her hair and head towards Route four.
