Juliettee slowly straightened herself from leaning against the counter as he talked. She stepped over to his side and took his hands. She pressed a small kiss on each hand, over his fingers. “Ryan, take a deep breath,” she told him calmly. “You do not need to apologize for the way you are.” She put his hands down and put hers on each side of his face and looked him in the eye. “You don’t have to everything alone.” She gently grazed her thumb over his undereye. “If anything happens to your mother, you don’t have to worry about your sister. Katherine may seem like a cold, hard b*tch, she is absolutely wonderful with kids. She could watch her while you run your restaurant. Everything will be ok.” She gave him a reassuring smile, her thumbs loveingly rubbing against his cheeks.
