Yes, I enjoy writing. It is probably my biggest hobby.
And you do meet a lot of great people at writing conferences. I met a guy from Toronto, Canada and it was awesome. 
We met a few times before he headed back going over writing and stuff in general. Writing can be a lonely hobby at times and it's always nice to find a fellow writer who gets it. Who understands the creativity, the [i][b]art[/b][/i]. And yes, it helps you keep pushing your own writing.
That's why I like RP as well. My writing has drastically improved over the years because of it. :)

And nice. I sometimes like editing. But I'm also eh.... 
Can't I just get it out and leave it at that? lol
Depends. Though I've never been a fan of the grammatical side of things.
