Figured I could throw my hat in the ring. See if I could come up with something villainous. I think it's pretty neat. But that's up to moderation, since it could be... Difficult to balance in certain cases.
Name: Edward ??? Nicknames: Ed Villain Name: Mis-Match-Ed Age: 18 Gender: Male? Appearance: -- Weapons: Scalpel(s) Villain Equipment: -- Combat Section: Strength: Fairly lackluster. While by no means a wimp, Edward is far more focused on Quirk usage in a straight up fight. So punching and kicking, while not pathetic isn't exactly up to snuff yet. Using a limb that possesses some kind of strength enhancement though does have benefits. Endurance: This is where Edward is second to none. If only because of his quirk "Dissect till you Reconnect." More Below. But with his quirk, Edward can effectively come back from a fatal wound if done properly. Making him nearly unkillable, and unrelenting. Willpower: Edward is fairly good when it comes to his overall willpower. He needs it after-all when using his quirk. In a fight of straight wills, his sense of being is strong enough to push him further than ever. Speed: A feat Edward is lackluster in. Despite his impressive endurance, he's not exactly a fast runner. Kind of like a high school freshman as far as running goes. He's not going to win any awards. Reaction Speed: Again, fairly standard. Maybe a bit slower or faster depending on what quirks are currently being manifested through "Dissect Till You Reconnect." He won't be catching any bullets, unless catching involves letting go right through you. Which it doesn't. -- Quirk Section: Name of Quirk: Dissect Till You Reconnect Ability of Quirk: A potentially powerful quirk that treats the human body like an easily disposed of husk. A mismatch power that came from the quirks of Body Augmentation and Bodypart Detachment. This quirk allows Akurei the ability to remove his own limbs, and replace them with new ones. Qualities of Quirk: The main use of Dissect Till you Reconnect is that it gives the possessor a kind of 'immortality.' If an arm is injured or the bone is broken, the user draws energy to the injured limb, sealing it effectively off from the rest of the body. This allows Edward to remove the limb easily, tearing it off like if it was rotten. The limb can later be replaced wholesale using any well preserved or freshly dead body part. The process is nearly instant, as the new nerves and veins attach to the new host body. The body of those who use this technique are able to accept any kind of blood type, and wounds seal up easily without scarring. Skin, legs, arms, and torsos can be supposedly swapped out on a whim. The greatest perk of this quirk is that newly attached limbs keep their old quirks, to a degree. Strengths of Quirk: The true strength of this quirk lies in how the possessor can 'possess' multiple other quirks through its use, as well as hide their real identity. After all, after replacing enough organs and body parts you no longer have traceable fingerprints. But beyond that, Dissect Till You Reconnect is also used to prolong the user's life. Broken limbs can be wholly replaced. In short, this quirk is a long term powerhouse, with the user getting stronger... And stronger... With plenty of limitations. Weaknesses of Quirk: Replacing body parts consumes a great deal of energy. The more body parts the user replaces in short order, the more they'll need to eat/sleep to replace the lost energy. The only part of the body that cannot be replaced is the head. Though certain parts can be swapped out. Like ears, nose, or even jaws. But the brain itself and the skull around it cannot be replaced. So damage dealt to those specific parts can be devastating in the short, and long run. Rotten limbs cannot be used as good connection. So even if Edward works really hard to dig up the body of a hero, if the body wasn't preserved and is rotting, that effort is utterly useless. Limits of Quirk: Say for example somebody had a quirk that allowed them to fire a laser from their navel. Or their hair could grow rapidly. Those quirks would be nearly impossible or useless for Akurei. Simply because stealing the right arm of somebody with a quirk that empowers their left arm won't give Akurei the power of the left arm. Akurei can only possess/steal a quirk if he steals the appropriate limb. Stealing claws would require him to steal the limb with the claw, and only then would he keep the quirk as long as he possesses that one arm, and it only manifests through that limb. Examples (Using canon characters): Ex: Edward wants to use "Explosion." In order to do that he'd have to get the arm of somebody with the explosion quirk. Then replace his own arm/hand. But, only the replaced limb can produce the sweat needed to use the Quirk. Ex: Edward wants to use "Half Cold Half Hot." To use this quirk he'd have to get both halves to use the full quirk. If he gets just the cold side, he can only use the cold side from the replaced limb. He'd have to have the arm, or leg. Replacing the ear would just give him a cold ear or something. Ex: Edward wants to use "Engine." He would need to get both legs that have the engine quirk. Otherwise he'd have one fast leg, and one not fast leg. Ex: Edward wants to use "Dark Shadow." Impossible. He cannot transplant his shadow, nor can he replace his own head in a way that would allow him to do so. Ex: Edward wants to use "Voice." Difficult, but not impossible. It'd require surgery, removing his own vocal cords, and replacing them with that of the quirk's vocal cords. Even then, he'd require help from an outside source to do so. ---- Biography: Born in America, specifically the former Bible Belt. Edward developed a powerful quirk, but not one he discovered until much later in life. He was 13 when he discovered it. Before then, he had no quirk. Or at least one that hadn't been used yet. See, school is hard when you're a kid. Even more so when you don't have a quirk. Unlike other examples we can speak about, Edward didn't become a good person. Despite his lack of power, he instead became a bully. But not in an obvious way. Instead, he had a vendetta against those with 'powerful' quirks. Cool quirks. Anything of value. Because when you have no value, you seek ways to devalue others. In fact, one particular kid had a quirk that allowed him to set his body on fire. A "Human Torch" if you would. This boy was named Bruce. Bruce was popular, his quirk was cool and showy. He was also a jerk. In fact, he butted heads with Edward a lot. They competed in everything. Academics. Sports. Edward rarely won, but to Bruce, it was always a chance to show off. Then came the incident. It was graduation day, and on that day that Bruce was voted most likely to succeed. Nobody counted on Edward in the rafters with a bucket of oil. When dealing with hot tempered teens with fire, maybe you just need to add some fuel to the fire. Imagine if you will, the scene of Edward's greatest and worst vengeance. When oil drenched Bruce, his first reaction was to look up, and ignite. He exploded. He exploded in a way that not even Edward had expected possible, though he should have. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe he was angry. Maybe he just stumbled off the cliff of childish prank and into murder. But Bruce took himself out, and the school principal, and much of the gym. The whole building collapsed around them, with Edward trapped under a rafter. Crawling away, desperate to escape as the world burned around him, Edward found he was missing his leg. Once pinned under a steel beam, it was no longer there. Just detached. This was the day Edward discovered his quirk. It was also the day he ended up replacing his leg with that of Bruce, the only piece that hadn't been completely destroyed in the explosion. He ran. He knew it was all his fault. His horrible stupid decision. And with a new leg that reminded him of his stupid choice. But, he couldn't change that. Not now anyway. He stumbled through the USA. He kept walking, even picking a fight with a biker at one point. That's how he replaced his arm with one that let him control metal. At one point he cannibalized a vulture for wings, but that didn't work out too well, since he didn't have the bone structure to fly. In fact, he ended up in Texas, where he ended up joining a gang. They where the Devil Dogs, and Edward? He was a Mutt. Even replacing part of his body to have claws and fur. The police tried arresting him a few times. As they would. Even brought him in for questioning when he was 14, when they managed to connect him to his crime a year earlier. He ended up planning an amazing escape. Using a shiv to kill one of the officers and remove his head, Edward had the other prisoners replace the officer's body with his own. A full body transplant, except for the head of course. He ended up breaking hundreds of prisoners out of jail, and would have kept the body if he wasn't shot in the escape and ended up having to replace body parts later that made the quirk in question unusable. Edward has been running around the American bible belt for the last few years. He even posed as the devil at one point by giving himself goat horns. Grand theft body, murder, regular theft, breaking and entering, lots of stuff where slowly added to his reputation. If the cops where getting close, he'd replace somebody and run off. Though he's probably too dramatic for his own good at points. Personality: Edward is... He's not the nicest guy around. That happens when your quirk relies on something as gruesome as replacing body parts you cut off people. He's not needlessly cruel by any means, just apathetic. A hard enough worker, he views people by relevance of their quirks. The more powerful ones quirk, the more interest they receive. Though whether that's a good or bad thing varies from person to person. His issues even apply to heroes, as he shows interest in only competing or comparing himself to those with quirks that he likes. Weird or ugly quirks need not apply. The major problem with Edward is that he's utterly selfish. He doesn't care about the wants or needs of others. But often times his own personal benefits. This makes him socially awkward in a way. He's blunt, a major ass, and doesn't make friends easily, unless he specifically wants to be but that's usually to benefit himself. A class A literate though, as he pretty intelligent despite his leaving school at the age of 13. His intellect makes him particularly dangerous, as he can take quirks that otherwise seem useless and 'remix' them in ways that advantage him. Again, selfish. ---- Other: CURRENT STOLEN QUIRKS:
Beast Quirk - Right arm: The beast Quirk is fairly simple. It's a beast-like arm with stronger than usual human strength, fur, and claws. Nothing all that special as far as quirks go. Whip Quirk - Left arm: The whip quirk allows the user to stretch their limbs. In Edward's case it's just his left arm. It's limited to an extension of roughly 20 meters. Taser Quirk - Left hand: Edward replaced his left hand specifically with a tazer quirk. It produces a weak electrical charge. Nothing serious, but it can make you spaz out if he holds on. Voice Quirk - Left leg: Utterly meaningless. Stolen simply because he needed a new leg, and there wasn't anything better at the time. He possesses none of the right parts of this quirk, and as such it's useless. Eye Quirk - Chest: Edward can grow eyes on his chest, and back. Neat, but not very useful. Though if he takes off his shirt it is kinda creepy. Personal-Gravity Quirk - Right Leg: A more useful quirk. Edward can walk on walls with this quirk, but adjusting gravity. It's mostly useful for running up buildings, since he can't use it to fly or anything more complicated. A particularly weak quirk, but useful for giving him a tactical edge in certain places.
