Sabine stood and stared at the dragon's head. Seeing it again made her no more comfortable. Now that the icy spear that felled the beast was melted, the ground around the head reeked of darkening blood. Its teeth were stained brown where it oozed out. "I did not want to kill it," Sabine mumbled. "It spotted us. Yerig greeted it in its language. It wanted us to prove our strength if we wanted the axe. In truth, it was using all of its treasure to lure the Dragonborn." Sabine leaned on her staff. "We fought it. I trapped it. I got closer so I could try to make it unconscious and I thought it would give up. Then it tried to bite me. I had to pierce the roof of its mouth, just like Kaleeth did to Leaps' mother."
