Son to a priest of Caradia, he was raised to respect the ideals of the gods and use the examples they set to guide him through his life of devout worship. He grew up surrounded by holy tomes and memorized the holy chants. By the age of sixteen he tattooed religious scripture on himself and within a few shorts years it almost completely consumed his once pale skin. As a young adult he began to bless, preach, and condemn. As Adjantis grew into a man his unbreakable faith became more and more fanatical. His views on righteousness began to alienate him from his fellow brothers and sisters. He spoke out against all he felt were 'wicked' and openly advocated for their condemnation. This black and white mentality on justice proved popular with few, and bordering on lunacy with many. As tensions mounted with the debate over Esmeralda's likeness to his gods, Adjantis took the side of the Emperor believing Esmeralda was the manifestation of all things good and just. With a world view buttressed by dogmatic desperation he sought to exterminate the heretics of her holiness. Identifying an assortment of people claiming Esmeralda resembled the god of all things wicked, Adjantis followed the heretics to their homes and murdered them as they slept. The people of the city awoke the next morning to witness these chosen homes set ablaze which nearly caused a city-wide fire emergency. Though never convicted or even taken to trail, members of the church knew what Adjantis had done and publicly cast him out. This act of abandonment and betrayal only strengthened Adjantis' religious fervor as he heard a call for an expedition to combat evil that threatened the kingdom's lands. With this opportunity he could be satisfy his unquenchable thirst for righteous deliverance in the name of the gods. Personality: Adjantis comes off as distant to others. Growing up sheltered to then have his life explode into a murderous, faith-fueled rampage has made him distrustful and careful of others. During his time in the church he never had time to unwind and socialize, leaving him rather inept at even basic conversation with others. His strict views of the church and his faith could prove disastrous should an individual speak ill of the gods in his presence. Adjantis' state of mind borders that of a wild experiment. An experiment with goals to view what would happen if a man knew only his faith, conditioned to the point of almost incapable of nuanced understanding. Adjantis' faith could prove both a blessing and a curse when considering his role as a combatant. He is borderline fearless and unbreakable, believing his gods protect him on his quest to eradicate the wicked. Anything extra: Adjantis wears his standard brotherhood robes, adorned with various scriptures slung over his shoulders and stamped with seals of purity and righteousness. He also wears a single steel shoulder plate on his left, a relic awarded to him by the church back when he was still good and just in their eyes. For equipment Adjantis wields a large warhammer and carries with him a book of prayers.
