[@TheUnknowable] The only time it's really mentioned in Rebels is when they are going through a list of known Rebel groups.  But it has been mentioned off and on that the base was thought to be compromised around the time Leia was captured, and so it had to be abandoned, to keep the Empire from having them in the palm of it's hand.
