Alignment: Ashlan. Height: 6'2 Weight: 200 lbs.
Origin: Born to Mace and Nomi Windu during the year 39 BBY, Draven Windu was raised within the halls of the Jedi Council under his father's tutelage. Though the union itself was frowned upon by the Jedi Council, Windu's service in his tenure as a Jedi and to the Galactic Republic as a whole assuaged any doubt from his fellow Council members. As such, Draven himself lived, played, trained, and grew up in the Jedi temple. Beneath his father's tutelage, Draven shined as one of the Academy's best with both a blade and the Force. Witin his class of Padawans there was another with whom Draven rose through the ranks: a Twi'lek named Raylah, a blue female Twi'lek, and one of Draven's closest friends. Some time after Draven finished his training under his father, so did Raylah. The two took their Knight trials together; Draven passed his trials, as did Raylah around 21 BBY. It was proceeding the execution of Order 66 that Draven fled the Sacking of the Jedi Temple in 19 BBY. He was among the few who luckily survived the raid led by Anakin Skywalker who had--unbeknownst to most--betrayed the Jedi and become Darth Vader. Draven had not been on the first floor of the Temple where the initial raid had taken place, rather in the Archives when he encountered a batch of Clones who had--to Draven's later jubilee--departed from young Skywalker himself and were carrying out orders to scour the Temple in search of any other Jedi. Draven, keen in his use of Forms: VII (Vapaad variant, taught to him by his father), V (Djem So variant), II, III, and VI, dispatched the clones swiftly and managed to flee through the underground tunnels of the Archives to safety. It was only following the raid that he realized he had lost contact with Raylah--and worse, news that his father was dead. Draven, like the rest of the Jedi who survived the initial raid, fled the planet and he in particular sought refuge on the Outer Rim. He has since spent his years training in isolation, using the knowledge gained during his tenure at the Temple to perfect his bladework and his honing of the Force with the hope that one day he would be able to aid in the defeat of the Galactic Empire. More than this, to be reunited with his closest friend, Raylah, and together restore light to the galaxy.
Skills and Powers Draven has but mastered the core Force abilities: push, pull, leap, shield, speed, etc. Draven is also, unlike his father, more proficient in the Force. Where the extent of Mace's abilities were well honed basic Force powers, Draven excels in areas beyond these: sight, sense, concealment/cloak, shadow vision, flash, light, lift, battle meditation, detoxify, telepathy, tutaminis, animal friendship, droid disable, bellow, armor/deflection, force body, illusion, mind trick, stun/stasis, wave (and its stronger variant, repulse), grip, disarm, revitalize, and finally, shatterpoint. Draven's natural affinity to the Force makes him not only a formidable wielder of that elusive energy but also a fine teacher of the arcane and archaic religion of his former Order. Draven also excels in lightsaber combat like his father. Unlike the long dead Jedi Order and its former Masters, Draven does not limit himself to the training and implementation of two forms. He finds it limiting, and always thought it part of the reason many experienced Jedi Masters sometimes fell to Sith who were below the Master's skill. Draven does favor the use of Vapaad as his primary dueling form, but he will switch between his other practiced forms should the situation call for it. His nearly two decades of unabated training and meditation since the Sacking of the Jedi Temple in 19BBY have advanced him well beyond his expected skill level given his age. He perhaps surpasses his father in his mastery of Vapaad. He does struggle with the pull of the darkness, a trait which is inherent of the descendants of Haruun Kal, and in some respects has eschewed the more incompatible teachings of that old Jedi Order, primarily in the belief that Force abilities are inherently good or evil. Draven is a stout meditator, often submitting himself to the pull of the Light side of he Force so that he may listen to its whim. He is a fierce warrior indeed, capable of withstanding assaults from rival lightsaber duelists of many types. In light of the state of the galaxy at present, Draven keeps his presence in the Force hidden, assuring he is undetected by the dark shadow of the Empire. Forced into hermit-ism, Draven keeps his body, blade, and mind sharp, waiting in the farthest fringes of the galaxy for the day he may return to help bring down the Empire.
