Bio: In most interpretations of the Christian Bible, Longinus is the name of the Roman centurion soldier who pierced the waist of Jesus Christ during his crucifixion, causing the last of the Five Holy Wounds on Jesus's body. After the events following the death of Christ, Longinus converted to Christianity and was eventually canonized as a Saint by the Vatican many years after his death.
