Perhaps. But Estella came to a world knowing no one. The only people she really knows are at the academy. Her social exposure is low and everyone counts. She's not done anything to Anthony and knows nothing of business so it doesn't make sense to her. Maybe not as much now that she has a tougher skin but definitely before. 

Just because it make sense for Anthony doesn't mean others won't feel differently. That's why not everyone is in business.
