A hint of the mystery within the intersections of life and death, and the dreams in between. Welcome to Seattle 2028. You’ve recently been accepted to the prestigious Casper Academy built in the center of downtown Seattle. A skyscraper that provides housing and education for the gifted students inside. Each of them holding extraordinary gifts from magnificent magicians to football stars. Casper Academy, named after its founder William Casper, is one of many charter schools that have gained popularity in the past 10 years following the successes in Appleton, WI. For some students, this will be their first time in Seattle since the 2020 tech boom. Don’t be scared, the chaos is half the fun! Just watch your head, as the hovercraft tend to fly lower during the winter months. Speaking of vehicles, remember, biofuel vehicles are strictly prohibited in Seattle. You may only bring a licensed EloRide™ or similar flash fuel vehicle, if you plan to traverse the city. For those unable to afford their own vehicle, Seattle’s newest public transportation project The GlideWay will prove to be one of the best in the world. There is a small parking garage beneath Casper Academy that students may utilize. Please ignore any rumors you may have heard about an increase in crime in Seattle over the last year. These are largely exaggerated by right wing media sources. Seattle, and especially Casper Academy, is safe for all students. Casper Academy itself is outfitted with the best security system offered by the Smith Institute. There is a strict curfew of 11 PM for all students. Any student found outside of school after these hours will be reprimanded. Casper Academy and the The Smith Institute are not responsible for students outside after 11 PM. So many questions I’m sure, little time for solid answers. For now just survive, it isn’t your choice to be here, but here you are, and here you’ll be anytime you leave the academy past midnight. It only lasts for an hour, the time in between. The dreamworld swallows you whole. The powers you have make you special, make you strong here. Good luck surviving, I hope you have fun. Do you feel it inside you? Say the word in your heart, scream it if you must! Rise from the blue flames. Yours Truly, E
Welcooome to the velvet room players. I'm going to be your GM for this roleplay. You will take on the role of a student at Casper Academy who ventures into the dream hour to discover why it exists and to fight the monsters inside. There, your persona will awaken and be able to help you survive. Be careful though, you'll also need to live the life of an ordinary teenager in the near future. Only by creating friendships will you be able to tackle the dream hour and everything it will throw at you. Part of character creation will be creating a persona as well. This will have weaknesses and strengths of it's own and can be role played by you or me. Players choice. As GM I will not be roleplaying any specific character but will act as the NPC's within the world, and help you to traverse through it. I'm currently looking for 3-5 players who are willing to post at least once a day (or close to that.) I plan to utilize a day/night cycle. Players will be able to choose individually what they do during the day, what clubs they join, jobs they take on, people they date, etc... At night players can choose to leave the school for the dream hour, this will almost always be as a full group with a few exceptions. I will also have an NPC bible through Google Drive that will have all the relevant information each character knows of NPC's they meet. Players can use this for relationship building and to have a good list of people the group has previously met. Players will be rewarded Relationship Points after milestones in their relationships with NPC's. These can be used to make changes in the world that benefit the players.
1. No controlling other player's characters. 2. No perfect characters. Every good one has a few flaws. 3. Romance is okay, just no icky sticky. 4. I have the last say on a characters action succeeding or failing. This will likely be decided using weighted dice when it's "too close to call." 5. Don't post in character tab until I have given the okay. 6. Don't harass other players outside of game. 7. Do have fun. 8. Only human students at this time, there may come a time where a shadow or mechanical player is introduced. 9. If you disagree with one of my decisions, we can talk as a group and decide if it fit into the narrative.

1. Gummy 2. Raddum 3. Ammo 4. Tenma 5. Aislynn 6. Doge I'll interject as needed for responses with NPC's or to decide on outcomes of actions in others post. Long conversations between two PC's should be done in a cooperative single post.
