It wasn't to say that he hated bars. He's hung out there multiple times to pass the time and whatnot. But sometimes, just sometimes, he hated having the smell of alcohol and smoke sticking to his clothing. Today was one of those times. He sat down on the bench, looking around with little interest. The alley was just beside the bench and he could just teleport whenever he wished. Everyone around him was too drunk, too high, or just doesn't care enough to notice him anyway. It was one of the reasons why he loved this place. He was unassuming. No one suspected him of anything. Heroes rarely passed by too. It was perfect. Besides, he could scout the people out too. They were on standby after all, wouldn't want anyone stumbling into the bar and whatnot. Ryuuji wasn't sure when he got on this gig, and why he did. What had pushed him to do something like this. He would often think about it whenever he was alone. While he didn't want to be a hero, he didn't really know how he got sucked into the world of villains. Yes, his parents were dead, but they taught him well while they were still alive. Yes, he was separated from his sister who later died which fueled his rage and killed, but that was only for them. Perhaps he was only sticking around for the money then? Or perhaps, it was the only thing he knew by this point in time. He was picked up at a very young age, younger than most people who join the Dark Tree. It sometimes made him think about his time at U.A. and how no one suspected him of anything. He was able to put up a facade for them to believe that he was there to become a hero, but it was a miracle no one thought that maybe he wasn't doing this for good. It was like nobody could even think of the off chance that a person who enrolled there was a spy. Or perhaps they were taken aback by his sob story - his parents died because of a villain and now he 'wanted' to 'save others from the same suffering that he and his sister went through'. They were truly foolish, and now information about their students during his stay there was safely tucked inside Blackened's office - waiting to be used. After a while of thinking, he stood up and then disappeared into the alleyway. Before anyone could look to see where he was going, a black mist was left in the alley with nothing else around. He has disappeared. Reappearing inside the hideout, he made a quick scan of the area. So far, the people inside were the getaway guy, Shade Walker and Captain East - the latter two who usually worked together for some reason or another. Shade Walker was a force to be reckoned with. Not only was his appearance frightening, his quirk did more than just harmlessly pass through things. Ryuuji knew that keeping a distance would be the best bet of actually surviving a fight with him. He was a high ranking villain, and someone to look up to when you're in this kind of business. You learn to fear him too, and to never go to try to get on his bad side. His reputation were among some of the best there was, and his name hasn't been dirtied up by failures yet. Captain East was an interesting one. Former hero Captain East - and one that never really got out of the uniform; instead, twisting it to form some sort of villainous end result for the former hero. His fall to villainy shook his fans to the core - but he only had himself to blame for allowing himself to get so attached to so many people who were slaughtered in one fell swoop. Ryuuji knew the feeling though, but he was never a hero. It didn't affect him as much. Captain East was an excellent addition to the team, or so he heard. With his unnatural strength, he's able to go toe to toe with so many other heroes. He was the Tank in the team. But the man was a drunkard - wasting away with a bottle on hand as he tries to drink himself out of misery. Pathetic, really, but at least he followed orders. Then there was that other dude, and he was quite the getaway guy - using portals to teleport them elsewhere. Ryuuji appreciated the man's presence, since it meant that he didn't have to teleport at one point to another repeatedly to save his teammates, unlike what he sometimes did before. He wasn't with the Dark Tree, but he worked for money - and they had plenty of that from what he could see. Ryuuji should have tried to be a merc like him, but this pays good most of the time anyway. Other members of the team were Dark Druid - Kishimoto. A woman to be feared when she snaps, so he heard. She manipulates plants and uses them to her advantage. He's heard of her case files where she uses her vines to hang people and leave them to their inevitable doom. It was quite the read. Then the Doctor - Kashikoi. Smart. Small. Terrifying. Surprisingly helpful. Her quirk revolved around her being smart, and her robots proved it. They were, most of the time, helpful to have around and got them out of sticky situations every now and then. But she, herself, was relatively unimpressive when it came to fighting. She was odd, to say the least, but it wasn't entirely annoying for him. Hell Raiser - Lucifer, a very apt name. He looked like a devil. He acted like a child most of the time, and his quirk seemed hard to control and was based off emotions than will. Sometimes, Ryuuji was just waiting for when he would burn himself up thanks to his attitude, but it hasn't happened yet. Not a native Japanese speaker, so they had to converse in English. It wasn't too much of a bother for him, to be perfectly honest. And then, Rampage - Kane. Ryuuji can't say much about this abomination. Unlike most of them, he actually thrives in fights - always wanting to kill the opponent before him. He was the perfect guy to send out to eliminate a hero, and it was understandable why he was on this mission as well. Ryuuji has not attempted to socialize with him. Ryuuji settled into the seats near the jukebox and then stared at the wall without much thought running in his head except thinking about when the call would finally come through.
