I was speaking more about the characters than their stats as well. My point was that having luck as a strong point in a character isn't just an excuse for bad writing. It can be, but so can any other strength they may have. And it doesn't just mean "I can do whatever I want now!" either. If people are abusing it, [i]then[/i] it can be called an excuse. But that's not a problem with luck-based characters. That's just a problem with bad writing.
