Before Markus' questions got a proper answer, Seymour interrupted, trying to claim the investigation as his and his alone. He didn't do it out of avarice, though- he seemed more concerned about the well-being of Markus and Leo. Markus looked meekly into his ale. He knew he had no experience whatsoever in this, but people were vanishing, and possibly dying. In a town like Rosashire, everyone likely knows everyone else, as if this whole town is one big family. No family deserves to lose a member. Leo responded adamantly. He was tasked with this by what were likely his superiors, and so there was no way he would back down. He then invited Markus and Leo to join him. "If i'm not imposing myself..." Markus began, still staring at his drink. "I mean, I want to help. But i don't want to end up being a burden. If you'll have me, i'll gladly join you." He looked up at Leo with a light smile on his face as he cleared his hair from his eyes.
