The noise she made was minimal, being a mouse and all. He was taller than she in her human form. Well built. A predator if she was any judge from the way he held the gun and moved. Correction- stalked. Every nerve in her body was on alert as she skittered even close, her body cracking in a single burst as she lunged forward her leg snapping out and sweeping low as Ayita crouched. An attempt to sweep him off his feet. After all killing was not ideal when... Richard sighed at the sound of cracking bone behind him. Really? They always came from behind. The rush of air was enough to warn him as he turned, intent on using the gun as a club rather than it's primary function. However, the Adder was expecting someone to come for his torso. Not his legs, nor did his assailant expect the man to pitch his weight forward on top of her. When attacked from below, and from his first glance the person was lighter weight than he, the best opportunity in his experience was to out weight them. Especially... There was information to be had. The heavy thud of Richard landing on the smaller Ayita was echoed by a roar of pain from the man as she sank human teeth into his neck. A knee driving into his belly forced him up, as his hands tossed aside the gun to attempt to restrain the hands that attempted to restrain him. In that at least he was successful, as well as yanking her head back. The latter however left Ayita's opponent with a good piece of skin missing. Scrapped from his neck- which bled sluggishly. Soon to scab over and heal, as the shifters snarled at each other. "I would like to buy dinner before we got to the biting." Richard smirked, trying to appear charming. It didn't work. Ayita rammed a knee into his family jewels, narrowly missing. Though he was forced to release her and shoved her back. The younger rolling into a crouch as the Adder eyed them. To Ayita the Adder screamed predator. All too sly and cunning for her liking. To Richard this other person screamed wild. Hair mussed to the point it probably would never be tame, eyes that matched the sentiment. "My oh, my. Not much of a social person are we?" He murmured more to himself, tensing to launching himself at the girl again. "And here I was merely going to ask a few questions." Ayita, too, was coiling to strike. Though her blood was thrumming with the insistent need to change. This annoying human was a talker. Though to be fair, his voice wasn't bad. If he dropped the extra honey he was pouring onto his words. She was about to gag from hearing it. "Where is weapon." She growled in reply, her quiet voice a raspy noise. She wanted to roar, to scream. To fight. But not now. Now they needed information, and the sooner they got that the better. So she dropped the 'the'. Richard cocked his head slightly, how very odd. It was almost primitive. It was primitive. The hair, the eyes, her stance. It screamed wild. "Thought I was the one asking questions." He complained teasingly, to which he noted the girl twitched. Looking more crossed at him like she wanted to rip his heart out. "We're both looking for something after all." Neither moved from the tense stand off. To do so, would be to bring the other to strike.
