The religious nutjobs might tell you it was the wrath of god that brought this on humanity. Hell, even the tree-hugging hippies blamed it on a pissed off Mother Nature that the dead walk again with a cannibalistic appetite.

Myself? I find it hard to care when a walking corpse wants a piece of me. Humanity is no longer on the top of the food chain. There is no more internet, no more television, no more civilization... only surviving. What time is there to care when stable meals are unlikely and a corpse is snapping at you with its mangy and digusting jaws?

I ain't worried about what brought the dead back to life. I'm worried about surviving to tomorrow. You should too, lest you don't end up as a chew toy or one of [i]them[/i]. We're [i]humans[/i], not some juicy piece of bacon! Not some afternoon snack for a repulsive, decomposing freak! This is our world, not theirs, but ours. It may not look like it anymore with everything fallin' into disrepair, but damn it, it's ours.[/color]

[color=gray]If you'll excuse my terrible storytelling above, welcome the OOC! As you can see by my username, I'm Poi, and I will be GMing this Walking Dead RP for you. Being an avid Walking Dead fan since nearly the beginning, this RP idea came to me when I was browsing the various Walking Dead RPs on RPG. Every RP I saw was based in somewhere in the US, which had me thinking: what if I base a RP outside the US? While the main show and comics take solely in the US, multiple mentions of places in Europe exist with Dr. Jenner saying France had went dark on him and a [url=http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/The_Walking_Dead:_The_Alien]side comic[/url] has Rick Grimes' younger brother, Jeffery, in Barcelona, Spain.

And so, I set out to make this RP, but I had to make some choices, which is why this RP will be based in Belgium, specifically Brussels and the surrounding areas during the middle of 2012 (for now). I intend for this RP to be similar to the first few seasons of the Walking Dead, where the goal was to survive and characters are forced to scavenge for supplies due to them being scarce. Seeing as this is a WD RP, I do expect people to die, but I will be leaving that mostly up to the players themselves for now. Everyone is a normal human, and survival can be an unlikely possibility if you're trapped by a bunch of walkers. If anything else needs to be addressed, I'll gladly answer questions.[/color]
