Charlie was causing a bit of interference, but sacrifices had to be made.

A few of the roots in the system underground sprouted up from the dirt as a couple of mineshrooms began to sprout above the ground in several random spots, seemingly systematic to a specific range of the teleportation of Khaine. He could easily dodge the mushrooms underneath the ground, but considering the water was so murky around the group, it was a risk factor of considerable proportions.

There wasn't a lot that he was commanded to do in the immediate moment aside from getting involved and being a distraction, so aside from both of those things Charlie was free reign to do whatever he desired. 

What did he choose? The succulent taste of an ascendant, of course!

Charlie rushed over to Saef's location, the bulb glowing brightly on his back, and let out a mighty roar as the basil-isk lunged at Saef, aiming to devour the angelic human in one single bite. It wasn't the best-case scenario, but it was definitely one of the better cases.
