From the darkest reaches of our world, malevolent beasts have emerged with hearts yearning for the destruction of all that is. As Ciir plunges further and further into chaos, heroes have arisen to answer the call. At Venridge, The Devoured City, they have gathered under the banner of The Conclave to consolidate their knowledge of what plagues this world. You are among these heroes, a Seeker, and along with your comrades must venture into lands overwhelmed by evil and revive our world before it plunges into eternal darkness. [b][u]The Kingdoms[/u][/b] While the world is teeming with complex civilizations, these are the ones who've invested the most into the founding of The Conclave. Lands that do not willingly submit to The Imperium's rule are conquered through war and those who survive are fated to live as slaves if not in poverty. In the heartlands of the empire stands the legendary city of Asturica, a vast metropolis of white marble and gold now a shadow of its former self. Much like the rest of the world, Asturica has suffered from the world's decay. What was once a vast empire is now a nation on the verge of chaos erupts throughout the provinces and foreign invaders march into Imperial lands in search of what wealth remains. What mythical beasts that once roamed this land have been replaced by malevolent abominations that stalk man from the shadows. The great forests that cover the kingdom are dying and have lost their color. Bandits, Highwaymen, and Raiders have ravaged the countryside and those foolish enough to venture outside the major cities have met a grizzly end. While the wilds host its own dangers, the cities and towns have found their own share of perils as civil war has broken out. The sons of the fallen king now threaten to raze their kingdom to the ground as they battle for the throne. The once proud order of peacekeepers, The Order of The White Wyvern, have been forced to use cruel tactics in order to main some semblence of peace in the realm. The Kingdom of Averland stands at the edge of collapse, with little time to save what remains. The thousand city strong alliance has stood as a bulwark against The Imperium's attempts at further expansion south. Each city owns a portion of land and are responsible for its defense but can call for aid at any time should the threat by grave enough. The cultures of each city are as numerous as the cities themselves, each one unique to the other. With the decline of this world came the decline of The League's power as infighting has broken out and one city in particular, Nirhold, seeks to unify The League as one singular kingdom. With disorder comes the threat of Imperium invasion as the empire seeks to gather wealth from conquest to feed its people. Should The League fall, the wall between The Imperium and lands to the south will be no more. While the tribes are independent of one another, they all pay tribute to the strongest tribe among them, Clan Tarskliv. Blood members of Clan Tarskliv are said to mate with Wights, giving them immunity to the cold among other gifts at the cost of appearing as pale as a cold corpse. Despite their strength, Clan Tarskliv now must face a growing alliance of clans rallying against them along with the loss of their Wight allies. Should the old clan lose control of the north, the south will be overwhelmed by a horde of raiders. [/hider] [b][u]The Rules[/u][/b] 1.The world of Ciir is massive, your character can be almost any race from any civilization of your design. As long as it isn't some overpowered being from a demigod race residing in another dimension it will most likely be allowed. Usually if your idea fits into the theme of the RP I'll allow it. If you aren't sure then PM me and I'll work with you. 2.Unless its in the OC, no fighting. 3.Posts need to be at least a paragraph or two. 3.There isn't a posting order, but try to leave character interactions open to the possibility of another character joining you. 4.Don't control another player's character without their permission. 5.If you have an idea for a story arc or something, ask me first before starting it. Don't set it all up and force it to happen because then everything gets derailed.
