NAME Dro'isi RELIGION The Nine, but particularly Kynareth for guiding her through many storms AGE 38 RACE Khajiit HISTORY Dro'isi was born in southern Cyrodill, in a village near Anvil. Her mother worked on the docks as a sail stitcher, and her Dad as a smuggler, who was always long away. The children of the pair generally spent their time being children, living up to all of the Khajiit stereotypes. But when a storm came in they would all gather and pray to Kynareth to deliver their father, the key source of income. This devotion caught the attention of the church, who brought on many of Dro'isi's siblings to study for priesthood. Not only was this guiding troublesome urchins away from the street, but it was also a diplomatic token towards Elswyr, who would be far more likely to take the long route by sea if they felt less alien in Anvil's streets. Dro'isi never gained any real skill of healing or alteration that is the standard for followers of Kynareth, but she did become a force to be reckoned with when it came to preaching the Nine and became a very personable individual, and in small part may have influenced further trade between Cyrodil and Elswyr through her blessings. Of course, with this new trade came more and more crime. Soon it became harder and harder for Dro'isi's father to smuggle and make a living. A little bit into her early adulthood Dro'isi moved with a fair chunk (if not all) of her family to HammerFell, though never anywhere in particular. Dro'isi started to learn the trade of smuggling herself, and quickly found work in the local thieves guilds due to her invaluable education and literacy. Despite the risks of the job, as well as fierce competition in these lands and seas, Dro'isi has managed well enough to make a decent living for herself and her own family and ageing mother who live in the port city of Taneth. Well enough up until recently, however. With the conflict now plaguing the province she has been harder and harder pressed for safe work. If there's one thing to living well as a smuggler the it's less important to have friends than it is to not have enemies. So wanting to stay neutral like anyone sensible, and she [definitely wants to stay neutral in times like these, she has had to turn to more and more questionable contracts with the guild. It doesn't take an experienced thief's gut feeling to know that there's trouble on the wind, and this kind of work can't last forever without incident.
