It was bigger than Alexandros thought it was going to be. Normally students had visited their college campuses before the semester began so they could get familiar with the lay of the land. For those who do know him and those who will get to know him, they’ll come to find that Alexandros wasn’t like most people. He marched to the beat of his own drum. A lot of the things that he did, for the most part, was all in the service of what was good for Alexandros Mossos, not anyone else. If he had to walk all over others, then so be it. After all, what is the opinions of the mortals to a god? And you can bet anything that Alexandros is a modern-day Juniper. And, what was Juniper without a few consorts to make life at the top interesting? Of course, he wasn’t at the top yet, but all was about to change. This was due to the fact that Alexandros had been walking around at a leisure pace around the campus. He passed various buildings and saw all sorts of people. They seemed to be no different than what he read about American colleges. He remembered that it was a league above what they called high school, yet it was obvious to him that the cliques were all the same - except they were a bit larger than the pictures he saw online appeared. Those that had called themselves Jocks back in the day were now nearly twice the size and, according to the stereotypes of American movies from the 2000s, they were entirely on the idiotic scale. As far as Alexandros was concerned, they were idiots to him. Instead of being called Jocks, the Americans just loved to refer to themselves as Fratboys that belonged to houses called Fraternities. Thank the gods he didn’t have to bother with them. The last thing he would ever do was subject himself to the sort of degenerate activities that he read about. He’d much rather focus on things that would actually further his gameplan, though it did present an interesting opportunity. The fraternities were the easiest ways to get known. And if he could prove himself to them, rising up the ranks would be a lot easier than trying to do it solo. “Another day.” He made a mental note as he kept strolling at a brisk walk, leaving the area of the largest Fraternity house and making his way directly across the way from the largest Fraternity house, The Animal House was the famed House of the Queen Bees sorority, Delta Gamma. In his research during the winter break, Alexandros had read a lot about this one and how it and Pi Kappa Alpha were known for hosting joint parties and often competed against each other in the End of the Semester mega battle called Battle of the Sexes. It was, the very least, worth checking out. However, before he could, there was a gathering of quite the crowd of people in the quad. Naturally, Alexandros followed them. It seemed far more interesting than whatever limited activities the frat houses and the sororities were having at the moment. After some shoving some of the beta males and weaker females(lightly of course), Alexandros found his way to the front of the crowd. His attention was on the stage, though, it would soon be centered on a familiar latina that he had encountered at last week’s New Year’s Eve party. The same one that had his attention for all of two minutes before she proved to be nothing but all talk. Even with her name and her obvious lineage, that couldn’t save Audrey from being yesterday’s news. A shame, too. They could’ve had such fun together. But now, as she certainly would put on quite the show for the crowd and her eyes focused on Alexandros, there was only a one-way street. He may have given her a smile, but it was a meaningless glance. His lips curled and portrayed exactly what Alexandros knew someone like her would want: a sense of control in that she has his full attention. If only she knew he was playing her. About halfway through the show, however, Alexandros was growing bored of playing pretend. It was a good showing, but there came a time where one had to wonder if they were spending their time wisely. Alexandros knew that he wasn’t doing that trying to feign an interest in Audrey’s dance. It certainly was impressive and she looked good doing it, but at the end of the day, Alexandros had better things to do with his time before the first, morning classes began. Plus, it was more fun making her sweat than it was giving into what she wanted him to. By the time it ended, he stayed just to see how everyone ate up her performance. That's when he caught her staring right at him. What was she thinking when he shot him that look? Was it her way of wanting him to come up there and do what he knew she wanted? No, that wasn't it. It was in her eyes, but specifically, it was the way her body moved as she ate up all of the congratulatory cheers from those who had actually been amazed by her routine. Alexandros, on the other hand, couldn't care less. the only thing he was interested in was winning this game that she had started. But if she thought he was going to make it easy for her, then she obviously hadn't done her homework. A Mossos never makes it easy for their prey. Game on, Audrey Huntsberg. Game. On. Before long, Alexandros left Audrey to her devices. When her head had turned, he was gone. He slipped through the crowd and the opening where he previously had stood was replaced by someone who had been behind Alex.
Oh that’s too bad, Queen Bee. That must sting. Your temptatious tease didn’t work how you wanted it to. Better luck next time.
