Venus' father was a Knight of some small renown who was was granted a equally small estate as a reward for his services to the Crown. While it was not the most glamorous of places, it was a big step up for the Knight. Eventually he married another lower class noblewoman and they had a single daughter, Venus. Venus grew up up a strange limbo. She wasn't quite proper gentry, yet she was clearly above the commoners. Her family was not exactly poor but yet wasn't wealthy either. Because of this clear divide, young Venus dreamt of following in her Father's footsteps and winning the prestige she felt her family deserved. Her Father saw in young Venus the same fire of ambition that he too had experienced at her age and agreed to teach her all he knew about knighthood.

Over the course of her more martial training, Venus also took time to study court etiquette and intrigue, befriending various other noblewomen and learning their various personalities and tactics they used to try their hand at climbing the social ladder. Shortly before the downfall began, her father passed away peacefully, a rare end for a knight such as him. Mere days after her father passed, her mother followed suit, leaving in her in sole control of her family's modest holdings. 

Thankfully for the upstart Dare heiress, her small estate has mostly avoided the fighting save for a few minor skirmishes. To this end, Lady Venus has taken most of her household guards and joined with the remaining forces of Camelot.

The Lady Venus Dare is a passionate, driven, ambitious, confident-bordering-on-arrogant, and yet very charming woman. Her biggest flaw is also her biggest strength; she puts her all of her passion into what she does. This makes her very good at leading men and gaining the respect of others and yet also entangles her. She can be ruthless but not quite cold-blooded, and it's hard for her to accept defeat or 'cut off the arm to save the body' so to speak. Overall, despite being fairly inexperienced, Venus Dare is self-assured and confident that she can elevate her family to new heights in this troubled time.  [/hider]
