Alex narrowed his eyes at her, not fully believing her words. She didn't sound like she was lying, but then again, lying was her thing and she was very good at it. Nevertheless his alarm bells were going off, and he had learned to trust those alarm bells. "Mhm." He hummed, staring at her for a moment before continuing. "You're sure you didn't smash them in a drunken rage, or something? Because quite frankly, you're the best suspect, mate." Mostly he just wanted compensation so that he didn't have to pay for the replacements out of his share. Even though they all shared the money, everyone had a sort of budget that they were assigned according to what their jobs were and how much money they had, and he was trying to save his up so that he could buy a few things that might improve everyone's lives just a bit. Granted, there wasn't a whole lot to be done, be a few replacement covers, pans, and some candy couldn't hurt too terribly much. However, at the rate he was going, he was going to have to sacrifice one or all of these things because of the god damned cups.
