She’s late. Mother fucking gods, I swear if I have to wait a moment longer…” Ava had been running around the vast campus for at least twenty minutes now and frantically, at that. Gone were the hopes of having sweatless stains on her white top. It was so annoying to have them stick out like a sore thumb and so early in the day. The only thing worse was getting lost in this overstuffed-with-entitled-pricks that New York called a “prestigious college”. Of all places, her parents chose to send her to this glorified party school where all of the fucking whores who went to private schools were going to get drunk and fuck whatever dumb fratboy came their way. She would’ve preferred going to NYU Film Academy. Or hell, maybe even try out Hudson University, but instead, she had to endure all of these entitled little shits. Thanks a lot, mom. Despite how she was feeling about this school and its obvious elitism, Ava couldn’t ignore how breathtaking it was. Though she mostly had a cynical outlook on a lot of things, the breathtaking landscape of the campus wasn't one of those things. From every building she passed in-between her sprints and brisk walks, Ava found herself mesmerized by the statues, the vintage architecture, and the vast greenery that surprisingly meshed well with the skyscrapers that hovered around it. Ignoring the fact that Ava was likely to have a terrible time here what with the obnoxious teachers and too-large-for-its-own-good, maybe it would be worth it just to see the campus in all of its glory. She couldn’t give a rat’s ass if she failed. Chilling out in the quad or maybe in a quiet corner somewhere was very appealing. “Yeah maybe it would be--” Ava suddenly felt a buzz from her phone. She ignored it, but then she heard various rings go off throughout the quad. Whatever it was, everyone was getting it. Only after Ava had given into the temptation did she get clued in on what exactly the big commotion was about. Low and behold, it was that anonymous blogger reporting about some sighting of some entitled, pretentious prick. Ava couldn’t be bothered to read the rest of the news blast. She got turned off after she saw a photo of the guy. Looked like a dickhead, so she didn’t even bother to scroll down any further. Instead, the spunky female decided to take a stroll. There was maybe a five or ten-minute lapse of time that got away from Ava as she took her sweet time. The scenery really was getting to her. It even got to the point that she didn’t seem to care that she was actually supposed to go by the quad and look at some of the clubs. No, instead, she found herself by he giant-ass library. Yeah, if the campus was something to behold, surely the museum-sized building that housed lots and lots of books was worth checking out. Though, Ava didn’t realize how large it was until she had actually walked in. Right away, she could tell that she was like a fish out of water. The building was at least three stories and all of it full of dozens upon dozens of books. It was amazing that it was able to be kept clean and organized. “The bills this place must rack up..” “Shh!” Ava shot the librarian a scathing glare, only to be returned with one that shook the Mossos girl down to her core. Ava might’ve been known for her glares and scowls, but this lady was something remarkable. Just one glance from her aged, steely eyes and all traces of Ava’s tendency to retort back was met with a blank expression. Knowing that it would be a winless fight, she decided to take the high road, walking over to where a group of various students seemed to be all cozy at. Upon closer inspection, they were hovering over a series of tables that had these syllabuses for classes. It’s not like it did her any good since her classes were already chosen for her thanks to her parents. They felt the need to control her every move and decision. Her education was no different. So, what class was she set to have first? Fucking English Composition. “Wonderful, isn’t it? We have to read these book about stupid ass people who are more pretentious than the trust-fund babies who will seize control over these grounds.” Ava vented to no one in particular, though she did spot someone hovering over the same table she was at. “Unless you’re one of those pretentious asshats. In which case, I apologize for not directing it at you personally. Not sorry for speaking the truth, though.”
