Name: Wallace Hakuno Gender: Male Age: Visible: 20-25 Actual: 220 Appearance: A standard built human with a pale complexion, and short cut choppy messy black hair Wallace appears rather un-intimidating at first glance. He sports no discernible scars, and isn't remarkably handsome in the slightest only being described as slightly above average by some. He wears standard shinigami garb for his rank, and doesn't tend to shy away from traditional clothes that suit his station. His eyes are a dull shaded hazel, and he stands in at about 5'11 making him discernibly average. Though where he differs is a modest amount of muscle underneath his clothes as he had spent his life training to be as powerful as he could. Personality: Though usually laid back, and somewhat lazy in attitude in truth Wallace is willing to push himself to the limit to accomplish what he must. He is not weak willed, or easily frightened though he doesn't relish challenges. He constantly seeks to better himself to make himself more than he was before but he doesn't crave power for the sake of it in a corrupted sense. He wishes simply to improve himself further. He is often not one to enforce rules in themselves believing most rules are guide lines to be followed only at the expense of one's true emotions. If one rule conflicts with something, and is not truly important he is willing to let it slide. Though for more serious rules he understands that they must be enforced. He is loyal, and respectful but not always kind, and forgiving. While he is willing to follow someone he may also be willing to cut them down if circumstances change. Though not treacherous he believes that the individual is more important than the group. He follows the person leading him not the people following the safe path. He believes deep down loyalty can be faulted, and proved to be a mistake if given to the wrong person. But given to someone worthy of it then it becomes something beautiful akin to a sakura tree in bloom. When in a fighting scenario he is much more blunt, and dangerous victory becomes more of a priority to him than fairness, or brotherhood the enemy in front of him becomes the target of his unrelenting force. He wishes, and hopes for a day that his blades won't need to be turned on a good person. He views those with darkness in their souls to be truly dangerous as they are unpredictable, and possibly the most at risk of being monsters. He doesn't battle purely for the thrill but because he believes it is the best way he can find himself through his zanpakuto. Other than that one can expect a fairly casual, and simple man who wishes to simply life his after life to its best, and most useful extent. Biography: After being welcomed into the Soul Society young Wallace decided to leave his last name behind and take up the last name 'Hakuno' in order to establish something for himself. He wanted to disconnect his old life from his new one in this new world. Living in the Rukongai he spent his new life as an earnest man and thus set out to be hired by a shopkeeper in town. Though initially wanting to avoid the governing staff that the after life held Wallace held himself firm not allowing himself to be intimidated by local thugs, and scoundrels. It took awhile but he found some measure of peace learning the ways of the people here he wanted to make this next life worth something just like his old one. Though he wondered if he could measure up to it completely. Eventually his quiet life was boring him in its tendencies to become like a rut, and he decided to train himself more thoroughly. Learning what it meant to be a shinigami was a difficult affair for him as he tried to train his body for the endeavor thoroughly. Though he had grown stronger than he had in the human world he wasn't satisfied with that. His training was hard, and often failure was more frequent than success but hard work is the measure of a man's determination. Though it took him a long time for him to figure out how to properly use his Reiatsu in order to pass the needed requirements to enter the academy he didn't falter in his attempts. It was a difficult thing for him to understand the concept of spiritual pressure. He more readily identified with brute force than his own spiritual side. The time in the academy was good to him he learned easier with the assistance of others in the academy. Often it took him less time to learn with the assistance of an ally than it did by his own lonesome. He was quickly recognized for his almost savant when it came to sword fighting. He easily outclassed the majority of the class in his deft speed, and adamant refusal to be defeated in a contest of blades. Though he quickly found himself more at ease with twin blades, or staffs than he did with his singular blade. His ability to use his reiatsu increased but not exponentially. Though he was at least average in most regards he exceeded others in his Zanjutsu which had grown a fearsome reputation for being quick, and dangerous. Unlike some who sought to overwhelm the opponent Wallace turned his focus into counter attacking the opponents. His specialty was overwhelming them with a flurry of movement when they made a mistake in their form, or putting his opponent into a unrelenting assault in an attempt to bring them to their knees through attrition. He tended to fail however when it came to his Kido. It was not a form that came naturally to him and he struggled with it learning what he could in order to supplement his weaknesses. When he was assigned to the soul society he was founded to have a rarer form of Zanpakutō. His inner soul was different than some split into two separate entities with two different personalities. Though Wallace was not known for his personality splits he was notable in that he seemed to be more cruel when it came to actually fighting another person. Perhaps it was always there somewhere deep inside of him, and simply dying had brought out a difference between being a hero, and being the victor. Being defeated had always been a concept that disgusted Wallace. Though he knew better than to be a sore loser for it led to unnecessary fights. Taking his place in the soul society he has simply now been complying with command awaiting a chance to become stronger. Former Life: Born in a small rural town in America young Wallace's life wasn't anything out of the ordinary. His parents were martial artists, and his grand parents were both standard nuclear families. Wallace's life was short, and one that he lived without regret. He didn't have much in the way of ambition but he was full of passion. He wanted to make his life count. He wanted to make a difference if not just a small one. Though he didn't crave it for power, or fame he just wanted to make the world a better place than he left it. Though this was not to be. As a young college aged adult he died, and passed onto the soul society after saving his friend, and a stranger from a crazed man who thought the government was brain washing the town. He died jumping the killer and got shot through the head. He died without regrets. Zanpakuto: Matsumune, and Makaze
Matsumune Makaze
A standard of well balance Katana swords that are used in unison. The handles are bound in black, and white covering to differentiate the two. Matsumune is the white katana wielded in the left hand (though the weapons are interchangeable if needed), and is shiner. It holds a more regal, and refined look than its counterpart. It shines when light is reflected off of its smooth blade. It makes a cleaner swifter noise when it cuts through the air than Ikeda. Makaze on the other hand is bound with blood red cloth, and its hilt is black. Its blade doesn't reflect light like its counter part, and seems to be dirtier than its counterpart though it is not in actuality disgusting to look at just less brilliant in nature. It looks the same as its twin in appearance and can be used in the dominate right hand. It makes a more blunt, and forceful noise when swung in the air. "Singing Twin Swallows that brings with them the Lightning Storm of Demise...Matsumune! Makaze! Rain divine rage onto the unworthy!" Though not mastered yet Wallace's entrance into Shikai is marked with the blades changing shades becoming more like each other in appearance. They become wrapped in lightning though to what extent his Shikai can go is not yet known to Wallace. Abilities: Savant Level Zanjutsu, Talented Hoho Fighter, Average Hakuda. Fair early, and mid fight adaption. Breakdown: The main form that Wallace relies on is quick, but not light footed movements that attempt to blitz, and overwhelm the enemy. However they are also not lacking in the strength department either. Zanjutsu is the main talent that Wallace holds as his strongest, and he had made sure to not fall flat on his face due to either poor speed, or strength training both to his best extent. However he is still not a match for those who rely purely on overwhelming power, and he has issues keeping up with the quickest foes though that does not mean he isn't a match for either if it comes down to it. He attempts to subvert, and overwhelm the enemy using one of his swords are a diversion allowing him to getting in either light blows, or finishing shots. However without his swords his abilities are majorly hampered. His fist fighting techniques are enough to get him by but nothing worth writing home about. Despite this his ability to adapt in the early, and mid fight allow him to be a dangerous opponent as he is able to size up, and power through most opponents he comes across through deadly blade work, and endurance. His ability to take blows is notable in that only the most grievous wounds will really put him down if it comes to it but it is not quite to the point where it is a death blow, or nothing. His defense is just as strong as his offense when it comes to it seeing as he has put as much work as possible into his footwork, and style he did not neglect his defensive style. Though he is no wall, or unstoppable dervish he is not a foe to take lightly if on a power scale near him. Weaknesses: Below Average Kido Abilities, poor ability to invoke natural Reiatsu, and not notable for strategically adapting late fight. Breakdown: Reiatsu, and Kido abilities were always an issue for Wallace. His abilities were not simply easily called upon. He knows few kido, and only then each is only used to supplement what he can't do with his blades. He doesn't tend to invoke his inner spiritual power because of this, and relies on his swords, and fists to deal with the enemies in front of him. This makes him a easy foe for those who are more able to use the energy they had made against him. In the late fight he starts to lose his bag of tricks. If he fails to overwhelm his opponent by the time wounds have started to set in, or his energy runs low Wallace becomes greatly less of a threat. He has likely exhausted most of his own tricks. Though thanks to his All-Rounder skill set he can still pose at least a viable threat assuming the enemy is in a similar state to himself.
