Say Larvesta used String Shot and rolled a higher number due to having an added 50% boost. That String Shot will not effect anyone's Power Level that turn, but that number is tracked over to the next turn. Now, on the next turn, the String Shot's effectiveness is added to Larvesta's move IF Larvesta beats you in that second roll too. There is no 50% boost to anyone's roll in the second round, only added damage IF Larvesta's roll is even 1 Point higher than yours. Now, IF you were to beat Larvesta on the second roll, all that added damage goes to waste. Does that make any more sense?
