He is an opportunist, always looking for ways to consolidate and grow his power. Though he does not show it, he is quite methodical and somewhat corrupt and can show great malice. 
[b]History[/b]: King Fernando was one of the greatest architectural minds to ever grace the planet. However, his knowledge of walls and aqueducts did not make him a good father. His two sons were raised by the castle staff, being groomed for public appearances and some minor ruling positions. Gustavo was unaffected by his father’s lack of love, as he found his own love in swordplay. As he grew older, it became clear he was destined to ;lead his father’s armies, though no one expected it to happen so soon. 
King Fernando was one of the many to perish after being crushed in the great Cathedral collapse almost 45 years ago. His two sons, had not gone to service that day, as they were on the first of many brotherly hunting trips. Inheriting the His closest friends are his brother and Grux.

[b]Personality[/b]: He is an excellent politician and great at pleasing people both rich and poor. Where he lacks in militaristic thinking, he makes up for in architectural and economic knowledge. He does his best to listen to the people, though he is bound by his honor to protect the kingdom, something he has fought very hard to do. Though he does not always agree with his brother’s decisions, he does understand he is not always right in domestic affairs.
[b]History[/b]: Even when they were young boys, it was obvious that Gustavo was the warrior of the two. In training, his sword skilled grew twice as fast as Hugo’s, and thanks to the age/size differences, Gustavo was always able to carry the bigger weapons and wear the bigger armor. Understanding the throne would not be his unless something terrible happened, Hugo began to immerse himself in the library to help his older brother in his new role as boy king. Though Hugo was somewhat envious of his brother’s position, he has always been there to help his brother keep the kingdom in one piece. Hugo is the head of the Royal library as well as the owner and lead architect of the Rothenburg Builders Society, a subsidiary of the Filtiarn Logging company Thanks to a partnership with the Filtiarn Loggers, his father in law’s business, it has quickly become the leading construction group in the city.

[b]Personality[/b]: Mayella does not fit the typical queen archetype. She is a mother first, a queen second. She cares little for the politics of the kingdom, seeking only to protect her family. She is stubborn and relentless,  traits that made Gustavo all the more fond of her. Her curiosity will be her downfall unfortunately, as it's already almost gotten her killed time and again. She does care for the poor folk of the kingdom, and often advocates for them to the king.
[b]History[/b]: Once just a maid in the castle, Mayella was astonished when she was personally requested into the king's quarters. Every woman in the kingdom at the time dreamed of Gustavo coming to rescue them from poverty, and make them his queen. When he told the lowly maid how beautiful she was, as she stood in rags, covered in grime, she felt seen for the first time in her life. Though he was the king, and it was not like she could say no, the king did not force himself upon her. Instead he courted her, buying her gowns and jewels, hunting the most exotic pelts to honor her with. Their love is that of fairy tales.

She quiet to those she does not though, but is still sweet and kind at her core. 
[b]History[/b]: Though she love her father and her uncle dearly, she believes that that they are poorly dealing with the massive divide between the rich and the poor. She secretly rebels against her parents by secretly sneaking out of the castle under the cloak of night time (despite the danger), to distribute gold she picks up from around the castle and whatever money her parents giver her to spend in the marketplace. She also gives out food to those who sleep in the streets, and on a daily basis walks the streets with her guards to give out clothing and shoes to children whose parents cannot supply them.

[b]Personality[/b]: Thrill seeker, adventurous, curious. Loves to adventure out into the city and run and play. Though he is being groomed for rule, he is still somewhat blissfully unaware of the darkness within the kingdom.
[b]History[/b]: Known as “Michaelo the Monkey” the young prince is often seen running through the streets playing a game of cat and mouse with his personal guard, only the mouse is much smarter and faster and flexible than the cat. He sees the city as a giant maze and love to explore every part, as he wants to know the kingdom he will one day rule. He is not allowed outside the castle after sundown for any reason. Due to his escapism being much more well known, he is not as capable as his sister to sneak out into the night. He shows great promise as an archer, having an eagle's eye and steady aim.

Lord Lucian Filtiarn, the head of his family, is the owner of the Filtiarn logging company, responsible with supplying the whole kingdom with wood. When Lucian was young, long ago, the woods north of the Rothenburg were strictly forbidden for they were far too dangerous for travel. The woods were a death sentence to any who entered due to the overwhelming number of flesh eating creatures lurked in the trees. At the time the forest extended much further south, blocking the eastern routes out of the city, cutting trade circulation, and making it hard for outsider interaction.

Lucian, a young man in great shape, was the leader of small group of warriors who occasionally hunted the monsters in the woods. Taking his men into the woods with only the tools they could carry, they began to hunt their way through the woods into the first clearing, at the time never before seen, now nonexistent. Setting up camp, this clearing would eventually become the main log house of his enterprise. Initially, the log houses were outposts, for Lucian and his ever growing pack of warriors. Once clearing the threats to their safety, they would clear sections of the forest. This was the start of what would become a monopoly on one of the most abundant and most needed resources in the kingdom thanks to Lucian being the only person with building rights within the forest.

Lady Essenia Filtiarn, Lucians only love in life, was tragically and publically killed many years ago. Lucian and Essenia had been in love since childhood, though Lucian never felt qualified to give her the life she deserved. Lucian finally proposed after selling his first load of logs, allowing him to buy her the most gorgeous gown ever crafted in any kingdom. Luther, born with heterochromia, arrived about nine months later. His sister Elaine would not arrive for 7 more years however.

The death of Essenia still very much remains a mystery, with many suspecting Lucian caught her infidelity and ended both it and her life. He was the first one to find her body laying in a pool of blood. The cause of death is still widely speculated, though no one really knows. The Funeral was bigger than some of the previous kings, her kindness and generosity known widely throughout the land. The death of his wife, changed Lucians personality and demeanor. His smile died with his wife, along with his sense of empathy and really any emotion. His face remains a stone scowl, piercing your soul with his unforgiving gaze. 

Essenia’s death also heightened his paranoia, constantly fearing for his and his children’s lives. He was the first of the noble families to hire a house guard. Rather than hiring just ordinary mercenaries, Lucian hired some of the best trackers, marksmen, and a few brutish warriors from the arena. Giving them a uniform to gather behind, beds to sleep in, and a constant flow of gold for wine and women, it was not hard to hire a small army to defend his family manor. To further secure his place in the kingdom, Lucian married his daughter to the king's ‘younger’ brother, who is still twice her age.

[b]Personality[/b]: Stern and upfront, Lucian does not like small talk or wasting time. He is a man of business and his only focus is building his industrial empire. He is not known for showing emotion, though interfering in his business affairs will surely piss him off. He cares deeply for his children, though he is not known for showing it. Mentioning Lucian's late wife is another way to activate his temper, many servants have lost their heads for speaking ill of Lady Essenia.
[b]History[/b]: Lucian is one of the wealthiest people in the kingdom, his logging empire the sole source of wood for the kingdom. In recent years, Lucian has sought to expand his business into mining as well, as deforestation north of Rothenburg has uncovered new cave systems and untouched resources. 
Though his rotund appearance does not make it apparent, Lucian used to be one of the best hunters in the kingdom, winning multiple competitions under many of the previous Kings. He maintains many scars from his days battling the beasts in the woods, an is still renown for leading the great purge of Ondorro forest.

[b]Personality[/b]: Lucian is a lush, wanting only women, alcohol, and "Toadjam" (a psychedelic compound made from toad, mushrooms, and fresh cadaver brain.) Luther was broken by the loss of his mother, pushing him only further down the path to alcoholism and also expediting his transformation into the kingdoms most well known man-whore. He has a semi-stable relationship with father, though they often disagree on business affairs. He and his sister are different, though they both agree that their father is a downright ass.  
[b]History[/b]: Lucian never really gave his son attention in his formative years, as though were also the formative years of Lucian's business empire. Essenia was a loving and caring mother who went to great lengths to take care of her children, making it only harder on him when she passed. His family had kept him guarded from the outside world, so he did not have any friends other than Lancelin, the boy next door. Trying to fill the hole left in his heart by her death, Luther began to fill every lady's hole he could. Though he is only somewhat trained, he is an excellent swordsmen, though its dependent on his blood alcohol level as well.

[b]History[/b]: despite being a woman and her young age, Elaine is one of the king's top diplomatic advisers. She often travels the kingdom talking to the lords of the cities and the mayors of smaller villages. Many seek to marry the young lady, as she is not only beautiful, but heiress to one half of the biggest business in the kingdom. along with being a renowned diplomat, she is also a lover of horses, owning one of the largest stables in the kingdom, often breeding and selling them back to the kingdom for guard patrols. She is now married to man twice her age, purely for political reasons. Though she does not love her husband, she does not want to ruin what her father has built.

Personality: Nikias has always been a very serious man, rarely smiling or joking. He wasn't very well-liked among the kingdom's peasants as the head of the tax collectors. The only thing he was soft with was his family. He cares deeply for them and, while he doesn't show it in traditional means, they knew he cared for them.
History: Other than being found as a teenager by the royal guards, not much is publicly known about Nikias's past. He began working for the King and quickly gained favor with the man, giving him wise council and showing a eagerness towards doing his job well.
Nikias has not been seen recently by anyone, including the King. This has caused any rumors to swirl around but his eldest daughter, Rosaline, has been filling in for him and taking care of much of his work in his absence.

Personality: Elana is a quiet, well-to-do woman. She was brought up as a lady and has always acted as such. She was always quiet, yet kind to anyone she came across and, therefore was much more liked than her husband. She also absolutely loves gardening. She is known to spend much of her time shopping for new and rare flowers in the markets.
History: Elana had a rather uneventful childhood. Growing up in a noble house, her parents had a good bit of money and were respected among their community. She was always very diligent to please her parents and later, her husband. She was fiercely loyal to him from the start.
As she has also stopped appearing in public along with her husband, her absence was noticed by the commonfolk much more than Nikias's.

Personality: Emmeric was a bit of a fireball as a child, yet he always wanted to please his parents. He had a tendency to unwittingly make trouble in an attempt to get his parent's approval. As he grew older, he matured quickly as the eldest son, but his need to please never stopped. He has a bit of an adventurous side, enjoying strolls in the streets and sometimes even outside of the city walls.
History: Emmeric was an overall good child. He loved his siblings but he also loved attention. He noticed early on that his good looks and his upper-class status made him very popular among the ladies, and even some men, in the Kingdom. He became very popular in the nicer pubs and bars, often visiting multiple in one night just to mingle and meet new people.
Like his parents, Emmeric also has mysteriously vanished. He seemed off the last time he was out amongst the crowds, less talkative and noticeably pale.

History: Rosaline had an enjoyable childhood. She would follow her dad to work from time to time, often imitating him, scribbling on parchments pretending to take notes. As she grew older, she became almost like a second mother to her two younger siblings.

While he has his own guard who is suppose to keep him under watch at all times, they are not allowed into the house itself so Charillos has found many ways to sneak out without anyone noticing.

History: Due to his tough demeanor, his marriage to Felicia had a rocky start. He didn't know how to open up to her and was never very affectionate. She slowly began to get used to his gruffness and they seemed to flourish for a while. After the death of their fourth child, however, they became very distant. Dromeus doesn't talk about his personal life very much, so the details are unknown, but no one has seen Felicia since the death of their child.

She spent hours every day taking her babies for walks around the manor, cooing in their ears, telling them how much she loved them. It wasn't a surprise when she lost her most recent baby that she was devastated.

History: Lancelin was a very serious child. He didn't enjoy playing in the mud or running around the streets like many other kids. He was very serious about his studies and often spend his days in the house, learning. Because of all of his studying, he is very smart but lacks certain social skills. He hadn't much to say when he got engaged to the King's daughter. It was just the next step in gaining power.

History: Villame has always been an artist at heart. He loves anything beautiful, especially women. His taste for women has started to bloom rather quickly. He enjoys spending time with some of the younger nobles but his family has a strict policy of not letting outsiders into their grounds. Therefore, he is often alone, walking gardens and sketching flowers.
