Fantastic. J.J. Reyes tried to keep his eyes down on the set of syllabuses in front of him, mulling over the options. Though, focusing on what he was setting himself out to do was a little difficult when he was about to witness the next coming of the American War for Independence and he couldn’t help the urge that was growing in the back of his mind to de-escalate the situation between the two girls at the table. Problem was, his anxiety made it difficult to approach these things calm-headed and he knew it. The prospective College Athlete could nearly hear the voice of his sister in his head, reminding him that his need for everyone to get along was as pointless as it was stupid. Still, he was already in the process of poking his nose in these girl’s business. He cleared his throat, entering hostile territory. “Is this really a good time for this? Can’t you two get along?” J.J. wasn’t even sure if they were the right words or the best ones he could’ve said. But anxiety be damned, he wasn’t going to stand for pointless bickering. He may not have been commanding or particularly unfriendly, but he thought he made the right choice. But things in the past had turned south after J.J. acted from his good intentions. He just hoped this wasn’t going to be a repeat of his past. He came to Columbia for a fresh, ambitious, and exciting new start, after all.
