Humans exist in a small capacity but they are generally inferior to AI or androids at their jobs unless they have some unique organic competent; furthermore, they are treated as lower-class citizens by the Machina. Usually it's robots piloting bigger robots but humans are sometimes seen on the battlefield. As for advanced tech, it varies from soldier to soldier. Overall, they've developed anti-portal technology as well as combat machines of all kind.
