Name: Bridget Vasiliev Alias: Katana Age: 25 Personality: Determined, Jovial, Loyal, Unyielding, Brave Archetype: Metahuman-Gadgeteer Powers: Cyborg- Bridget's body is partially made of robotic parts. Namely her arms, legs, spine and right eye. Her arms grant her super strength. Nowhere near that of a strength focused hero, but enough to blast through a wall with only her fist and raise a car with both hands. Furthermore, her legs endow her with enhanced speed and allow her the same strength as her fists. Her spine was made robotic if only to support her enhanced body parts, but also allow for a flexibility the stressed hero never had before. Her eye, while covered by an eyepatch, serves many functions. It allows for night vision, thermal vision and infrared. Furthermore, it allows her constant access to the internet and even some hacking functions. It can also be used for other rudimentary functions like zooming in and out and taking pictures. Katana- Bridget's namesake is her mother's katana. The katana contains her mother's soul and any of those slain by it. The sword is extremely strong, being able to cut through any metal Bridget has tried it against and never seems to dull. While she does find the sword a bit impractical, she does use it for meaningful kills and whenever she finds it handy. Nevertheless, she carries it on her person if only to honour her mother. Weaknesses: Other than her robotic limbs Bridget is entirely human. A bullet to the heart will kill her just as much it would any other person, if she isn't wearing her bulletproof vest of course. Appearance: Bridget stands at a short 5 foot 4 and has a toned, fit physique. She wears her hair short and is naturally black. Her skin is naturally pale and no matter how much sun she gets that never seems to change. Her only outstanding feature on the surface is her eyepatch. This cover's her robotic eye, which has 3 blue 'pupils' in a triangle around the centre. Her natural eye colour is brown and her left eye is this colour. She doesn't have a costume per say, but wears a tactical harness over a camouflage jumpsuit and a bullet proof vest. Of course, the camouflage changes depending on the mission and may even be rid of for a more heavy piece of armour with ceramic trauma plates. Character Evolution: For a personal story, maybe some sort of John Wick-esque mafia hunt down of the men who killed her mother. As far as personal sub-plots go, a relationship would be a fun thing to do. I see her as someone who hasn't had much of a love life and it would be fun to see the stoic tactical unit girl get all blushy over a girl or boy she likes. BRIEF Bio: Bridget is the daughter of a Japanese SAT member and a Russian 'businessman' who's business was mostly with the Russian mafia and other mobsters. Of course, Bridget's mother was none the wiser to her father, he was very well spoken and could speak fluent Japanese, English and Chinese, to her that was proof enough he wasn't a mobster. For an SAT member she was oddly trusting, she'd never admit it, but it was entirely because of his good looks. Regardless of his occupation, Bridget's father stayed with the family and was very assertive that he would be there to help raise Bridget. He was a good father. To a point. His occupation posed many problems. He'd be away for months on end and would come back, never leaving the house, in hiding from people out to get them. Sometimes the police, other times hitmen. Every time he'd go into hiding he'd cover it up of course, telling Bridget he was actually a secret agent. Funnily enough, this coupled with her mother's profession was what drove Bridget to work her way into the SDU. Bridget's family had moved to China when she was a very young baby to stay nearer her mother's family. Bridget considers herself Chinese and speaks with a Chinese accent rather than a Japanese or Russian accent. This is also what drove her to join the SDU rather than the SAT. Her school and early work life were for the most part normal. She did, however, spend a lot of time researching and training to join the police and later the SDU. Her training came in quite handy for joining both of these. She got into the police without a hitch and later became one of the few females to join and be a member of the SDU. Life was good for Bridget. Until her father got in with the wrong people again. This time, they weren't as lax as the other hitmen. Bridget still to this day has no idea what her father did to piss these guys off, but he had the mark of death and if they couldn't find him, they'd find his family. They started with Bridget's mother. They actually lost a man fighting her, not expecting an older woman to put up such a fight, let alone with a samurai sword. Then they came after Bridget. Seeing that the death of his wife hadn't actually brought him out they sought to do worse to Bridget. They tortured her for hours on end, resulting in the loss of all of her limbs and an eye by the time her father stopped it. He was killed in front of her and she was flown out to live with rather wealthy American relatives who could nurse her back to health and give her some sort of happiness in her new state. Little did she know happiness was right around the corner. The uncle Bridget was living with worked in the technology division of WayneTech and managed to spread enough word about Bridget's story that a grant was awarded to create cybernetic prosthetics, with Bridget being the subject. Of course, the limbs she was originally given weren't anything special as far as prosthetics go, really just replacements for what she had lost. But after much pleading and begging to her uncle some adjustments were made under the table. She was now a full fledged superhero as far as she was concerned. She set out, using her skills as an SDU operative and her new found powers to strike fear in the heart of those who seek to do evil. She even brought the sword her mother used to defend herself on the day of her death with her to just about every 'mission' she partook in, not knowing the spiritual effect it had. Notes: [remember most returning heroes will have been members for the last year] Sample Post: Bridget pulled the hood over her head as she sat perched on a billboard high up in the skyline. Droplets of rain dripped down her type-89 rifle as she trained the scop on her target as he swaggered through some upper class social event going on in the skyscraper opposite. Now was her chance. The poor fool was in the kitchen alone. Bridget fired a sort of makeshift line launcher her uncle had made for her and prayed to god the wire would hold. She grabbed the wire and slide down at an increasing rate, thanking god her hands were robotic as she could only imagine the burning sensation that would have occurred without them. She dropped when she got close enough, tucking into a dive and shielding her face with her forearms before smashing through the glass and rolling to plant her foot onto her target's head, sending him hurtling against the wall. She moved quickly, grabbing a chair and wedging it in the door before turning back to punch her target. What she didn't account for was his recovery time. The guy could have been a heavyweight boxer if he hadn't been so embroiled in the drug trade. She quickly ducked under another punch, grabbing his arm and twisting behind him to send him to the ground as she did. She held his arm, twisting it as she knelt on his kneck. "Listen here, dirtbag. There'll be no drugs being peddled from you anymore, especially not to kids." She was far from experienced enough to know that her lack of reputation and less than terrifying appearance would need more than a demand to get her way. The brute just laughed cursing "Fuck you." back at her before tossing her off against a mirror, cracking it and leaving a small blood stain on the shards. Those were going to be a bitch to pick out later that was for sure. She dodged his next swing, keeping her distance and dodging punch after punch as she weighed up the odds. She could just shoot him, blow his brains out right there and then. Or even slice him in two with her sword. But no, heroes at least try to bring the bad guy in before resorting to killing. Plus, she could only imagine the telling off she would have gotten from her chief in the SDU if she'd have cut someone in half during her time there. The fight carried on, she'd decided on her plan, wearing him out before sending a knockout blow and lugging this heavy bastard to the cops. But not before a little bit of interrogation from herself. She watched him, panting and heaving, a smirk grew on her face. "Getting tired there, Viktor?" She spoke in his mother tongue, Russian. A look of pained shock grew across his face, partly because she knew his name, partly because she knew his homeland, but mostly because he knew for a fact he was getting tired as well. "Fuck you." was all he could muster. He made one last ditch attempt, a haymaker straight to the jaw. It missed. Bridget pushed it away before stomping his foot and cocking her fist back, ready to send a straight jab into his nose to incapacitate him. But he had other plans. His eyes changed from a stoic angry man to that of a scared puppy. He knew what was waiting for him in prison, and he knew what was waiting for him if he ratted out his brothers for a shorter sentence. He knew what he had to do. He grabbed Bridget's leg, tumbling backwards through the broken window and taking them both tumbling towards there doom. This made Bridget very angry. There was no hope now, if she wanted to save herself she'd need to either tumble through a window or grab through a wall and climb her way down. Either way she wouldn't be able to save Viktor. The bastard had sewn his own fate, he didn't deserve a death at his own hands. She breathed in, focusing as she unsheathed her sword. As Viktor tumbled through the air she centered, falling like she had planned it all along. With one quick slice Viktor was now cut in two. Little did Bridget know that he'd soon be receiving a fate worse than death within her sword. An eternity of punishment under the supervision of her hard as nails mother. But that's besides the point, Bridget had to find a way to save herself. She was going too quickly now to dive through a window, the impact with the floor would either send her flying through them or kill her on impact. She had one option. A well placed fist to the wall should have stopped her, but it only slowed her for a bit before spitting her back out as soon as she hit a pipe. She was well and truly done for. It was in that moment she was teleported to a very empty Metro tower. She was too relieved to be alive to even notice where she was. Patting herself down she rose from a crouched stance with a confused look on her face. Where was she, why was she brought here and why was it empty? She began slowly pacing through the building, checking corners like she used to in the SDU as she held her rifle to her cheek. Nothing, just locked doors and empty rooms. She huffed, sitting down in a rather comfy chair and resting her cheek on her hand. She was sure whoever had brought her here wouldn't mind if she'd take a small nap for a while. After all, she had nothing better to do.

Name: William "Billy" Batson Alias: Shazam Age: 24 Personality: Determined, courageous, caring, boisterous, clumsy Archetype: Mystic/Metahuman Powers:
All of Billy's powers only activate upon shouting the magic word 'Shazam'.

Superhuman strength enough to lift cars with ease and have a decent fight with other supers.
Superhuman durability enough to withstand hails of gunfire and stabs from knives without them breaking the skin.
Superhuman speed. This is limited to his flight speed, on the ground he is as fast as he is normally but in the air he can match a jet in terms of speed.
Electrokinesis. Shazam has the ability to control and generate electricity.
While Shazam doesn't need to, a part of the spectacle is that when he shouts 'Shazam' he is struck by lightning. He has learned to do away with this, but can still call the lightning down either offensively or just for spectacle if the need arises.

Weaknesses: Shazam's durability only lasts up to a point. A well shot rocket launcher that Billy wasn't expecting could severely shift him off balance or sending him tumbling towards the earth if not braced for. He is also more vulnerable to magic than one would expect. Appearance: Billy stands at a tall 6 foot 3 and is all muscle. His hair is a black short back and sides which he keeps trimmed and hardly ever allows to grow past a certain length. His eyes are light blue. Billy often wears simple clothes, a lot of the time his work gear if he's fixing or building something. Usually jeans and a t shirt will do him. Shazam looks almost exactly the same as Billy, par the costume. He gains a slick red costume complete with a gold trimmed white cowl. His eyes blur with light blue electricity and the large bolt on his front does the same. Character Evolution: I'd like him to face off with Black Adam at some point possibly. I'd also see him as someone who'd prefer to save a little kid from a villain rather than do something to stop the villain that could potentially save more lives. Maybe some sort of clash with another leaguer about the greater good regarding this? A relationship would be cool, as long as theyre willing to put up with his naivety! BRIEF Bio: Billy Batson was born and raised in Metropolis. His father, a police officer, instilled wholesome values in him from a young age. His father was an avid supporter of superman, always citing his attitude towards justice when teaching Billy right from wrong. Billy grew up almost fanatical about superman, for a year he'd hardly wear anything if it wasn't coupled with his superman t shirt. Life was great for Billy, he oftentimes imagined what it would be like to have powers like Superman. It's fair to say he was, and still is, a fanboy. However, good things never last and unfortunately for Billy things got a lot worse. His father and mother were killed in an unfortunate collision while driving to pick Billy up from school. Their deaths rocked Billy to his very core. He retreated within himself, hiding from the rest of the world as he was transferred to live with his grandparents. This living situation worked for a while, but his grandparents knew they wouldn't be around forever and decided to find another relative that could potentially take Billy in before the inevitable happened. They were in luck, Billy's estranged uncle was more than happy to take Billy in. The two hardly knew the uncle, but their son-in-law had regaled them with stories about him at a few family dinners here and there. From what they could remember, he was a former doctor who had always wanted children, but obviously couldn't after his wife died. Following his wife's death he began travelling the world in the hopes of 'finding himself' and eventually settled in Maldova for one reason or another. The couple trusted their decision and flew Billy over to his uncle. Billy was far too disconnected to care. Following the death of his parents he'd lost many of his friends due to his cold nature. A change of scenery was as good as staying at home as far as he was concerned. His uncle was a strange man to say the least, he had long greying blond hair and a wispy goatee. His home was rather strange too, he was obviously quite well off and had lined his home with various tribal and ancient pieces of decor. The strangest thing about him though was his free spirit. Billy was used to his father and mother being very caring but at the same time being rather strict. His uncle did seem to care, but it was almost like being raised by his friend rather than a parent. The first few months were strange. It always seemed like his uncle was watching him like some sort of experiment and Billy swore he heard some sort of chanting coming from his uncle's bedroom once or twice. Things got really strange when his uncle took Billy caving. Billy had no idea what caving was, nevertheless how to do it. But it wasn't like he had anything better to do. Apparently it was sort of like rock climbing but in a cave. As simple and stupid an explanation as that sounds it's what Billy came up with. Things went by as normally as caving with your uncle sounds up until they reached the bottom of the cave. Billy's uncle showed up what looked like a glowing stone in the shape of the bolt. It was here that his uncle revealed himself to be the wizard. His uncle regaled him with stories of heroes past who contained the power of Shazam, with all of them being granted the power by the wizard himself. Billy was to be the next Shazam. Of course, Billy couldn't believe what he was hearing, but after much convincing he shouted Shazam and aged to a full adult. It took a few months before he was actually convinced he hadn't just slipped into coma and was dreaming all of this. In those months, the wizard trained him in the use of his powers, seeing the desire to do good in his heart. This brought Billy out of his shell for sure. Inspired by his old dreams of being a superhero like Superman, Billy had a new lease on life. He began patrolling Maldova as a hero and then later began patrolling Ukraine and Romania as he grew in power. The best day of Billy's life took place when he was around 16 or 17. This was the day Superman took notice of him. Well, 'took notice' is a bit generous. The Atomic Skull had begun terrorizing Ukraine and in an ensuing struggle with a much less experienced, Shazam, had gained the upper hand and was about to finish the young hero before Superman arrived on scene. He made quick work of The Atomic Skull and sent him packing to a jail cell before helping Shazam from his near defeated position. Shazam could hardly say anything as his hero actually paid him a compliment for holding his own. He even slipped in a little quip about coming to do 'work experience' for him in Metropolis before flying off back to America. This experience had a profound effect on Billy. He finished highschool, saved as much money as he could and told his uncle his plan to move to Metropolis. Had he told him before he'd bothered to save he wouldn't have had to. His uncle was all for it, citing that he gave him power to help people and wherever he chose to help was as good as anywhere else. He paid for his flight and accommodation, on the basis that Billy at least get a day job in Metropolis. Let's just say delivering pizza is a lot easier when you can fly. Shazam started patrolling Metropolis, often times leaving the bigger problems for Superman and handling the lesser crimes himself. He knew if he tried to go up against the likes of Braniac or worse he'd just get destroyed, he was happy helping out in his own small way. This period was a time of reflection for Billy though. With the advent of heroes like Booster Gold taking up the limelight, Billy decided to go in the opposite direction. He used his ability to change in and out of costume almost instantaneously coupled with his superspeed to avoid being seen as much as possible. Of course, people got quick glances every now and then, and the loud "Shazam" that was shouted every time he gained his powers didn't help, but Billy had managed to become little more than an urban legend to most people through this. However, when Superman died that all changed. Billy mourned as if he'd known Superman personally, hell he'd only met him once. Regardless, Billy decided to go public, making more of a spectacle of himself. He generally restricted himself to the smaller crimes and damage control, but gained a few super nemesis of himself, namely Dr. Sivana, although he had faced off with a couple of other looneys in his time too. His favourite so far is 'Captain Nazi'. Billy couldn't believe that was his name either. Throughout his public 'career' Shazam began to become more for his compassion than his fights. During large scale destruction he'd most likely be seen flying around evacuating people and protecting them from whoever or whatever had been attacking. Notes: Sample Post: Billy sprinted through the door of 'Gino's Pizza', panting as he hopped the counter to face a very confused Gino. "Sorry I'm late, Mr. Gino! I musta slept in! I can work overtime I promise I didn't mean to be late!" He gasped, obviously panicked. The short, stout, elderly Gino looked confused as he stared up at his worker. "Billy, you realize that the hours went back today right? You're an hour early you dingus." Explained Gino, picking up a newspaper he had been reading, rolling it up and whacking Billy across the chest as he spat the next part of his explanation out. "And my name ain't 'Mr. Gino' it's Mr. Russo ya ingrate! You don't get to call me by my first name! Now put your helmet on! You're working an hour early for even thinking you were late!" Gino worked Billy like a pack mule, but Billy honestly didn't mind, the majority of his deliveries were made much faster than they should have been so he slacked off for the most part. Billy headed outside, carrying a stack of pizzas and his helmet. He hung the helmet over the handlebars of the moped provided by Gino, before switching to Shazam, lifting the moped on top of a nearby roof and flying off to make his deliveries. Things went by fine for the most part. He had to be extra careful when delivering as Shazam, for god's sake if anyone saw him they'd figure out who Shazam really was quite quickly, let alone the quips that would come from anyone he tried to fight about delivering pizza. He sat, perched on the edge of a building, eating a rather delicious cheese pizza that had been sent back. Every now and then they'd get a pizza paid for online and sent to some guy's house who never wanted it. Every now and then a few other pizza guys would show up to, something about river streams or something? Billy honestly didn't care, Gino was fine with him eating them, after all they'd just go to waste otherwise. Suddenly, alarms rang out into the air. A nearby bank was being robbed by some colourful gents in clown masks. Billy groaned, resting the pizza next to him and rising to a stretch. He rubbed his eye, he was really hoping for a quiet day today. A quick "SHAZAM!" and Shazam was on the scene. He walked through the front door of the building under the applaud of some of the more nerdy members of the forming crowd that actually knew who he was. The robbers quickly spun, pointing their rifles at him and shouting numerous profanities and demands towards the caped hero. Shazam towered over one of them as he approached, two electric blue eyes staring from beneath his pristine white hood as the robber quivered beneath his mask. "Drop your guns now." He boomed, his voice filling the room. "F-fuck you" whimpered the robber. Shazam grinned. He grabbed the barrel of the rifle and bent it upwards, almost comically. Following this was the crackle of gunfire bouncing off Shazam as he zipped around the room dealing with the robbers. The first was sent flying with a simple jab, before the next two were knocked together like a pair of ragdolls. The last was difficult though. He grabbed a hostage and held a gun to her head. "Listen here, lightning boy, you're gonna empty the vault and get me a getaway chopper before I blow this broads head over the floor" The word 'broad' sort of confused Billy for a second. Was he dealing with a robber or 'Bugsy Malone' here? Nevertheless, he was at a loss. He wasn't fast enough to deal with him before he could pull the trigger. However, all was not lost. He spotted an exposed wire on the way to the vault, connected to a telephone on the teller's desk. He made his way over to the vault, with the robber following close behind. He quickly and slyly pointed his finger in the direction of the phone before sending out a small shock of electricity into it, through the wire and up through the robber as he stepped on it. Incapacitating him. He turned to the crowd, grinning his signature grin and blowing his finger like a gun. Before he could properly help dispose of the robbers and free the hostages, he suddenly disappeared.
Billy surveyed his surroundings. It wasn't a place he'd seen before that was for sure. He looked around, obviously confused. He lowered his hood, pacing through the large, open room he'd been transported to trying to figure out what was going on. He moved towards the window, staring out he could tell he was at quite the height. Whichever building he was teleported to it was tall to be sure. It took him a second but he finally realized where he was. Metro Tower. Shazam gasped. Why would he of all people be transported to Metro Tower? His mind raced with thoughts of joining the League, to meeting heroes like Batman, to being trained by someone like Wonder Woman. His mind then became a bit more pessimistic. He might've done something wrong as Shazam. What if they found out he'd been using his power to deliver pizza's? Or worse what if he'd hurt someone while trying to help? Finally a door slid open behind him, taking his mind away from imagining why he was here and towards actually finding the reason. He threw his hood back over his head and walked, confidently through the door. The place was a maze, he was led through door after door, up staircase after staircase until he was finally met with the last door. It slid open to reveal a purple clad martian. "Greetings, I am Martian Manhunter welcome to Metro tow-" before he could finish he was interrupted by the excitable young hero. Shazam was amazed, he'd seen Martian Manhunter in action and admired him greatly. "IS THIS ABOUT THE PIZZA?!" He shouted in a panic. Manhunter looked confused, dropping his uptight demeanor for the more human personality he'd adopted over his many years on earth. "Uh, no, not exactly, if you've got pizza that'd be great, but this doesn't have anything to do with....whatever you're panicking about." He spoke, taking a seat in front of an assortment of computer monitors before pressing a button. Clips of Shazam's exploits through town displayed on them. "I brought you here because I'd been keeping an eye on you. You've been doing some good work out in Metropolis, thought I'd tell you that someone out there has taken notice." Shazam's jaw practically dropped to the floor. To think anyone would take as much notice as that, let alone it be Martian Manhunter of all people flattered him to the point where when he tried to thank J'onn he stumbled and slipped over his words. "Speaking of pizza, what do you think of oreo pizza?" Asked J'onn, snapping Shazam out of his daze with his casual tone. "Honestly, that sounds disgusting" replied Shazam. A scowl grew on Manhunters face as he quickly tapped a button on his keyboard, sending Shazam back to the now empty bank. No one calls oreos disgusting. Shazam looked around the now dark and empty bank, quickly changing back to Billy before exiting and trying to take in the situation. He had no time to before he received an angry text from Gino asking him where he was and that there were still pizzas to be delivered. Billy hadn't taken account of the time, he was late and in a heap of trouble. He groaned, sprinting out towards Gino's.
Hope this is alright!
