In the middle of the dark room, Shadow sat there on the floor, recoiled into herself until her duel monster form dropped, and in her place, was the barefooted teenaged-girl whom Yugi saw just a little earlier. Even when the genie heard her name being called by the spirit, the shadows stopped wailing and she stayed where she was. Looking up at him, she didn't respond, but used her body language to show that she was acknowledging him, listening. Yami was her partner, her protector, her confidant, and her long-time friend (though he didn't necessarily remember that). [i]My king[/i], she inwardly thought to herself. Shadow kept herself calm, trying to reassure herself that she can confide in the spirit. Maybe it was best to tell him her problem. It's not that she didn't trust Yugi, it's just that she knew that he wouldn't understand.
