I can imagine cybertech would be a prevalent science; 'old hero' types retiring after losing limbs or something to that effect.
Is there currently an industry in biotech? Genetic enhncement/synthesization backed with magic mostly to stabilize the medical needs of the world. I kinda have an interest in this direction of world-building mostly for the sake of pushing a character.
