Michie's heart was racing; He felt like it was going to burst out of his chest at any moment like he swore these fucking zombies were about to burst through the door. But the zombies weren't the only problem; He was also getting plenty of negative opinions on his words, and while he wanted to argue about it, he was trying terribly hard to focus on not losing his footing at the door. He knew Enrique was fucked, but he didn't deserve to just be left and eaten! They had to do something for the man; Anything. He was suffering, and Michie knew that he alone couldn't get the man out. Leeroy was a respectable enough guy; Kind of funny, at times. His words were harsh and hurt Michie a little, honestly. But Michie understood that Leeroy had to look after himself; The others, too. Someone else would get hurt if they took him, and the man wasn't wanting to let that happen. Michie didn't want to see anyone hurt, either... Michie wouldn't forget Leeroy's opinion. Astrid was more on his page; But again, she was against bringing Enrique along in the end. She was right; They couldn't do anything for him, could they? It was all fucked up the moment that he got bit. It's a disease that couldn't be cured, as one of the taller and more well built individuals in their group pointed out to him. Michie wasn't a doctor, and he didn't have a cure. Enrique was doomed. Michie began regretfully accepting this. "... Man..." Was all Michie could mutter as a response, unable to say much more. It was obvious by his face that he was upset; Perhaps with himself, for thinking he could do anything about the bite. This wasn't a world where mistakes could be fixed; They costed you everything. Since he was still alive, did that mean fleeing and leaving his friends was the right decision? Compared to them, Enrique was a random stranger; They could hardly communicate, let alone know each-other. Sometimes Michie wondered if there was more to morality these days than Living and Dying. Good, evil, these things seemed to have disappeared. Everything became a moral gray zone after the outbreak. He wasn't sure he liked that. Suddenly, one of the strangest men in their group dropped down from his resting place above. He was odd; Michie didn't really know him too well, all he knew was that the guy had an axe, and seemed to talk even when nobody was listening. And now, he was singing some tune that had Michie on edge; If this were a better situation, he'd say throw some heavy guitars and drums behind them and turn it into something metal. But at the moment he was freaked out, and wasn't sure if he wanted to hear much more. Time almost felt like it stopped with what happened next. Lucas had ordered the others of the scav team to push a table over to the door; Which Michie appreciated because this was getting more difficult by the second. But as they were doing that, Lucas was doing something... Strange. He knelt down, saying something or other to Enrique. And Michie swore he could see at least a split moment of understanding in Enrique's eyes. Whatever Lucas was doing, it seemed to at least give Enrique a small amount of peace. The table was almost here. He just needed to hold the door a bit longer. He faltered as the knife went into Enrique, ending his life quickly. He choked on the words he wanted to say; How terrible that had been, what the fuck kind of monster Lucas was. But at the same time, Enrique at least seemed to show some sort of understanding at the end. It didn't make anything better, but it was over now. He was dead, and now they'd leave his corpse behind. At least he wasn't going to die being eaten alive; Michie supposed that was all he could ask for at this point. Unfortunately, Michie couldn't hold out long enough. "Shit!" Michie swore, the battering from the door becoming too much for him to handle. He was jutted forward as the door swung open forcefully, walkers beginning to enter the building. Those that had been trying to get the table to the door in time panicked and began to flee; And Michie had to run, too. Or else he'd be dead. Thankfully, Michie didn't worry much about the table. He just ran towards it, and took a leap: His legs pulled up, a palm pressing onto the table as he surfed right over it, landing on the other side and continuing to flee. He eyed Enrique's corpse as he passed; Almost bumping into Astrid on his way towards the exit as he wasn't paying attention until the last second. He thankfully side-stepped and avoided her, muttering an apology without offering much else. Now wasn't the time for smalltalk, he knew that. He was also a bit distressed and didn't want anyone to really see it, though. As Michie bolted out, he figured the walkers would be momentarily busy Enrique's body. The thought wasn't pretty, but it was buying the rest of them time. He hoped that wherever that man was now, he could forgive the mistakes that were made, and the things they couldn't do to help him. He kept near the wall; Keeping a fair speed past the others and jumping up on the fence; His fingers gripping and within a few moments, the young man had already brought himself to the top. Not that he had any intention of going farther, at the moment. Rather, he sat on top of the fence; Looking down and noting Hiroko's plan. He reached a hand down hoping to help pull anyone up that needed help. Between those bigger guys lifting down there and him pulling up here, they ought to be able to get everyone over, right? Hopefully? "C'mon, somebody grab hold and get up 'n over!" Michie called to the group below, intending to still get who he could out of here before those walkers started piling out. They'd have to hurry, though, or everyone was going to end up getting eaten in this cage they now had themselves pretty much locked in. Michie tried to focus on the escape, rather than Enrique's death.
