Naoko has relatively average game, but he excels with a small blade like a knife or shiv. When his parents didn't trust him with a firearm, he had to make due with a knife when he couldn't outrun the Pests. It ultimately benefited him.

As a child in Tokyo, his parents didn't offer him a firearm like most others, so he learned to run instead. He knows how to maintain speeds and conserve stamina. Before he left to join Maniacles, he thanked his parents for this small contribution.

Naoko is a great judge of character. He can often tell if someone is untrustworthy. He also notices when someone blatantly lies to him. He uses a scale of trustworthiness, going from 1 to 20. He can't help but tell the people around him his rating of someone.

[center]Reason for joining: Despite Naoko's smarts, he wasn't seeing any careers in his future, and college just didn't seem like something he wanted to do. His parents ultimately told him if he didn't get a job, he was going to get kicked out of the house. He didn't want to waste his years spent in a stuffy office helping people with their tech problems, so he decided to volunteer to join Maniacles. His parents were shocked to say the least, but were glad their son was contributing to the fight against pests. When he learned he would be going to college, he grumbled, but accepted it nonetheless.
