Physical Description

Paige is a very beautiful mostly Asian (her words as she's half-Chinese and half-Irish) young woman who has a cheery, genuine smile and the most winning eyes imaginable. Her skin is sun-kissed and her nose is notably sexy to most of her ex boyfriends. While her husky voice isn't annoying her overly chipper laugh is quite grating for people not used to it. Paige wears glasses only for affect when on duty and usually only wears them off duty when she's reading. Paige's petite physique is very telling of her previous career as a gymnast and her history as a cheerleader and ballerina. she has gauged ears and a pierced navel.

Psyche

Paige is an eternal optimist, somehow the more depressing a scenario goes she gets more hopeful due to her mindset: “There's no where to go but up” being her logic. She sees the best in people making her very gullible, especially in love. She wears her heart on her sleeve and this has led to trouble personally and if any of her coworkers know her close enough eventually professionally. While always a kind woman to those she likes and to strangers, Paige is the epitome of a “good friend, bad enemy” and holds grudges whether it's deserved or not (hence her quote). She has a soft spot for kids and dogs, two things she will never be petty over. Her biggest flaw apart from falling in love quickly is her gullibility and being way too trusting.

Motivation

Paige is motivated out of her genuine altruism. She wants a better world, not an ideal world, so her moral compass is intact when it comes to enforcing the law. She also just wants to let people not suffer like her best friend before she came back to Detroit  Due to this genuine altruism, Paige is VERY technophobic and sees cyborgs as “needing to prove themselves.” since everything about them is programmed to an extent. While still in the DPD for the right reasons, Paige has kinda turned her workplace as kind of a grading camp for potential spouses or just long term lovers secretly.

Relations

Paige is close to her older sister Brenda who is happily married with four kids two boys and two girls. Her parents have died recently and astute people close to her will notice this is the only time she looks glum.

Personal History

Paige Liu was the younger daughter to Xiang Liu, an art gallery owner and Siobhan McGuinness a former beat cop who's only accomplishment pre law career was as a cheerleader in high school (though she seemed content with that) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Paige always lived in her older sister, Brenda's shadow as a gold medalist in gymnastics. Paige followed in her sister's footsteps and worked on her agility and flexibilty with gymnastics, cheerleading and ballet so she could try to be an Olympian. This dream was sadly cut short due to a bicep injury. 

This tragic injury caused a young Paige to leave America and live in Australia  for 2 years where she lived to get away from the place where her dream died. She had many friends, lovers and memories in Australia. Most of them consisting of her friend Avril Goodish who she was close to until she was killed by cyborgs. This trauma made her vow never to take any enhancements of any cyber kind. Paige decided to go back to America realizing she was just running from her own issues of not accepting her life changed and headed back home. 

Realizing she was still an athlete just unable to be one professionally, Paige enlisted in the DPD realizing that most perps will only be confronting big, burly tanks of men she realized her small frame, speed and quick reflexes could throw off the perps suspecting to just run away. It's her 3rd year on the force and she hopes her extroverted personality has won over somebody. She has overcame her issues involving her gymnastics injury but the recent loss of her both of her parents to cancer have wounded her.

Equipment Paige has very little on her other than standard issue gear though she prefers a Chiappa Rhino revolver to the Glock.
