She understands the journey it takes to become a great Pokémon Researcher and she wants to find the opportunity to travel with a breeder, trainer, and coordinator to properly understand all aspects of Pokémon. Some traits to describe Kari include: brave, bookish, excitable, kind, and persistent. [/i]
[indent][h3][color=A0CCF1]b a c k s t o r y[/color][/h3][hr][/indent][i]Kari was born on [b]Cinnabar Island[/b], the daughter of a well-recognized geologist and a competitive pokémon trainer.

By the age of ten years old, most children on Cinnabar Island were ready to start their journey as prospective pokémon trainers though this was not the case for Kari, a fact that she received mass teasing for in school prior to the fact. This wasn’t to say Kari was disinterested in pokémon or the allure of a pokémon trainer but rather that she didn’t feel she was [i]ready[/i], a fact that her mother (and sole parent) agreed with. So to amend this supposed ignorance, Kari put forth the effort to [i]fix[/i] it by doing whatever she could and digest whatever she could get her hands on. The blue-haired native of Cinnabar Island would spend time at the Indigo League-sponsored pokémon gym run by “Old Man Blaine” in hopes she could understand the nature of competitive tournament play. When this was not an option she would spend hours reading whatever textbooks she could find, study whatever information on her father’s personal computer she could comprehend, and ultimately take her reputation as Cinnabar’s resident “young researcher” to the next level. Eventually, this progressed to the only conceivable level when her mother took her aspirations seriously and sent her away from Cinnabar Island to study at a pokémon academy in [b]Violet City[/b]. A place she would remain for several years in hopes to unlock the secrets of Pokemon. 

Fast forward to Kari’s fourteenth birthday and she finally feels she is “ready” to start traveling. After returning home briefly to get accommodated and inform her mother of her intentions, she prepares to leave Violet City with her pokémon, a Charmander, in hopes that she can meet wonderful people and finally get some “hands on” experience.[/i]
