Outside of work, Deon can be found wearing polos, dark wash jeans and usually a leather jacket. When exercising, or having a relaxed day, Deon is inclined to don looser t-shirts, hoodies and even on occaision athlethic sweats.

His failure at marriage caused him to overcompensate in almost every other area of his life. Due to this, Deon has a very assertive nature, making sure his opinion, wants and needs are well stated. This can cause him to come across as very arrogant, a trait only further reinforced by his competitive side. Luckily, Deon is also capable of being quite charming, a smooth talker and capable presenter. These skills have allowed Deon to move swiftly through his workplace's hierarchy and as of late through the bedrooms of several women. Due to the damage that was done by his ex-wife, Deon has a fear of attachment and rarely makes a second date with any of his paramours. 
However, Deon is also a loving father and his little girl has him wrapped around her finger. It was devastating to lose custody of his Ellara, but Deon makes every available minute for his daughter, often going out of his way to sneak time with his daughter or even just to leave a present for her. 
[b][color=steelblue]Habits:[/color][/b] As a former smoker, Deon has a habit of fidgeting with an empty Zippo lighter. When impatient, he'll tap his fingers or toes, crossing his arms when especially irritable. When he quit smoking, Deon began to eat to fill the void however his weight gain attributed to divorce. Since the divorce, Deon has become a familiar face at the gym, replacing eating with working out and as such is in the best physical shape of his life. 
[b][color=steelblue]Hobbies:[/color][/b] Deon enjoys collecting scale models of famous planes or notable models. He painstakingly builds and paints each one himself before displaying them a room dedicated to the history of flight in his condominium. As such, he also enjoys anything relating to the history of aviation. As mentioned above, Deon is a regular at the gym and while he originally began exercising out of spite, he has grown to love it and does it whenever he has downtime or needs to think.

Gideon Arnulf von Engelhardt was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Often referred to as Hollywood North, Vancouver was a living city, thriving with life and ripe with opportunities. Gideon's parents were among those who had taken advantage of the open doors Vancouver had offered them and as such lived a life of leisure, maintaining an upper-middle-class income. As such, during his childhood, Gideon wanted for nothing and lived a relatively easy childhood, maintaining a healthy relationship with his parents.

Taking an interest in aviation during his youth, Gideon developed a passion for all things related to man's journey through the sky. Setting his sights on engineering while still in elementary school, Gideon's parents helped him to develop the necessary skills to hone his academics and produce the grade score that schools of engineering would be looking for. Despite his studious nature, Gideon still found time to hold down part-time jobs and even maintain a social circle of friends. It was from this circle, that he would go on to meet his first real love, Alyssa McNally. There was an immediate mutual attraction between Gideon and Alyssa, and it didn't take long until the two became an item.

Remaining together throughout high school, Alyssa and Gideon married the day of his eighteenth birthday. By this time, the pair had graduated from high school and Gideon had begun attending the University of Washington. Moving into their own apartment, Alyssa found a dead-end but albeit full-time job working in retail while Gideon himself found two part-time jobs in order for the pair to make ends meet. Gideon's education had been paid for, courtesy of his parents, however, the two hadn't taken into account the costs of living on their own, especially in a new country. 

For five years, the pair endured the financial stress of working minimum wage jobs while Gideon went after his Bachelor's and then his Master's. Gideon's Master's was the gift that just kept on giving, along with the completion of his school and a job offer from Boeing, Alyssa gave birth to the pair's daughter, the true love of Gideon's life, Ellara Leia Liana Engelhardt. However, not even the birth of their daughter could save Alyssa and Gideon's marriage. Deon's eating habits while attending school had taken a toll on his body, resulting in significant weight gain, while Alyssa had felt ignored. In fact, Ellara's conception had only happened due to Alyssa being drunk on Gideon's birthday and having pity sex with her husband. With an already strained relationship, Alyssa's development of Post-Partum depression didn't make any improvement. In a final devastating blow, Alyssa slept with Gideon's best friend.

The divorce took a significant toll on Gideon but in otherwise it was one of the best things to happen to him. While he lost custody of his daughter due to manipulation of Alyssa and her parents, Gideon was also motivated in other ways as he began to work out, toning his physique and changing his habits. In order to compensate for the loss of his wife, Gideon, or rather the newly invented, Deon, threw himself into his work. Moving through the ranks at Boeing, Gideon has recently been promoted to a project manager in aviation design. Finally accomplishing one part of his lifelong dream, to use his passion to shape a new age of aviation.
[b][color=steelblue]Discovery Of Your Power:[/color][/b] Deon discovered his ability one evening when relaxing in his living room and the light from his lamp suddenly was pulled out of the shade and took a tactile form in the air before floating into his palms. The whole experience left Deon visibly shaken and he would rather forget it had happened.
