[@Rune_Alchemist] So what I have for magic in this universe is that it basically flows from the Heavens. It is what gives the God's their powers and energy. When the gates were locked, it wasn't just the God's who lost their powers. Earth itself slowly started to run dry on magic to the point where it barely existed. Magical creatures either died out or went into hiding/hibernation. Once Hollow opened the lock halfway, Heaven's energy was able to flow back down into Earth. First directly effecting the Gods, as they are walking batteries of the stuff, and any magical/supernatural creature benefits from this. I have a post where I allude to this and involves Amos in a forest.
