It would certainly be uncomfortable, forces churning his guts and feeling like hes being twisted and crushed by the radiant energy.
Its not his fault that his worshiped deity is a mannifestation of darkness with objective claim to his soul. Kaites kinda new to this whole thing...

Alexander's passive aura of positive energy on top of being a filthy hooman would certainly pose an extra challenge for their affinity towards animals.  ;D
