Awesome - and well needed - rant! I've noticed the same thing happening with illnesses, physical or mental, in many roleplays I've trawled through and [s]stalked[/s] read. One time I saw a writer use the term "bipolar" to describe their character with an evil alter-ego that took over their brain sometimes, Dr. Jekyll style. Total ignorance over what bipolar actually meant or consisted of. I agree, it is infuriating to see people like this on the site.
