I imagined Ispar as a coastal country due to the otherwise low elevation if it weren't for the spires of granite and ore that weren't eroded by the rains and tide. More of a landmass that connects to a mountain range farther into the mainland than a designated area.
Like a bit of a peninsula that's usually mostly underwater.
