Name: Evangeline "Eva" Delilah Flint Age: 15 Birthday: 20th September Sex: Female Ethnicity: Half Caucasian, Half Chilean Nationality: English

School Year : Fifth Blood Status: Pureblood Hogwarts House: Slytherin Pet: A Bush Rat named Pablo. Boggart: Eva's boggart takes the form of a ferocious Manticore. Following a close encounter with one many years ago as a child with her brother, both of the siblings have retained a deep-seated fear of the nightmare-inducing beast. As it approaches her, saliva dripping from it's human mouth, her 'Riddikulus' charm suddenly causes it's own scorpion tail to sting it repeatedly, causing it to yelp and cry in a quite humorous manner as it runs around in a circle, attempting to outrun the offending limb. Wand: Dragon Heartstring, Red Oak, 14", Unyielding.

Favourite Lesson: Defence Against the Dark Arts: Eager to be an Auror when she leaves Hogwarts, Eva has worked as hard as possible in this particular lesson. Despite her natural skill at duelling, Eva has a burning passion to learn as much as she can about the Dark Arts, dangerous creatures, and the best way possible to defend oneself against them. So far she is gaining top marks in the class, and while her teachers would much prefer for her to focus slightly more on her other lessons, her skill in this subject is extremely impressive. Least Favourite Lesson: Transfiguration: The art of altering the form of objects into a whole other one is completely lost on Eva. Finding her strength in the art of (Often rather aggressive) offensive and defensive magics, the amount of concentration and patience necessary to achieve a successful transfiguration doesn't come easily at all to her. Not just due to the fact that she finds the entire school of magic pointless in most cases, but she lacks the finesse and delicacy often needed to perform such acts of magic. Extracurricular Activities: Chaser for Slytherin; Duelling Club; Any Muggle-Themed Clubs.

Appearance: Eva has always been tall and large for her age, and the onset of puberty has done absolutely nothing to change that. Standing at a generous 5'9" and still growing, Eva's figure leans more towards terms such as robust and curvaceous than slim. With a heavy build including broad shoulders, strapping stature and a rather soft tummy, her tendency to enjoy a bit too much pudding shows aplenty on the young girl. While she found it easy to shake off any extra weight as a little girl, puberty and lack of cardio has meant she's gained a few pounds. She is secretly quite self-conscious about it, but being easily-distracted means she doesn't spend too long worrying over her appearance. However, not all of her weight is thanks to the lavish dinners put on at Hogwarts; taking her job as Chaser very seriously, Eva has worked hard to put a bit more muscle on to improve her strength. To her, speed and slightness is only good for Seekers - Chasers need to put up a fight. The only ways in which Eva does toil at her looks is for herself, and nobody else - eyebrows that have a tendency to become rather wild and bushy are plucked and shaped each week; spots and dark circles beneath the eye are covered with make-up; her normally curly hair is tamed each and every morning to look like effortless beach waves, made all the more attractive by her dirty blonde hair which has a tendency to go a lighter shade in the sun. Dark brown eyes are usually lightly lined with kohl, and Eva tries to wear a new pair of earrings each day. When outside of her school uniform, Eva owns well-made, expensive clothes, courtesy of her family's wealth. She also spends much of her allowance on muggle clothing, though she occasionally gets the fashions mixed up unless a muggle-born friend gives her a hand. Personality: Despite the prejudiced ways of her family, Eva has always strove to be far more open-minded and nonjudgmental than her relations. While she still has much to learn about the Muggle world, she is constantly eager to learn more about them and is careful around her Muggleborn or Half-Blood peers to ensure they are never judged by her for their blood status. However, this is where her conscientiousness ends. Coming from a rich and respected family, Eva still hasn't quite grasped the impacts of poverty or simply even being from comfortable economic background. When students around her despair over breaking their broom or losing a nice wizard chess set, Eva disregards their worry and assumes their parents will simply buy them a new one, not even taking into consideration that their parents may not have the money to do so. While education at Hogwarts is free, the materials necessary for study are often quite expensive - Eva doesn't realise this all the time, and so has been accused of flaunting her own rich wardrobe, array of belongings and obvious wealth by less well-off onlookers. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. While Eva still must learn to be more modest with her money, she is endlessly generous with it. Not in a manner to be boasting, but in a way of making those around her happier. If there is to be a party in the common room celebrating a win at Quidditch, Eva will be the first to put money towards food and drink (If it can't be stolen from the kitchens); if in Hogsmeade with friends and someone lacks enough money to buy something they particularly want, Eva will immediately give them what they need without demanding anything else in return; Christmas and birthdays are always lavish times for those in Eva's circle of friends, for they always receive something they particularly wanted, no matter how expensive it is. Again, this could be seen as a boast of Eva's wealth, but those close to her know that she would act in just the same generous manner if she had not a knut to her name. Open-mindedness also fails Eva in other ways, by way of her passion. In some areas, passion is good - she has a deep love for her friends (And family, occasionally) and by default, is fiercely loyal to them. Even her brother, who she has fought with on more than one occasion, is included in this, and she will be the first to protect him and any others she loves if she deems it necessary. Unfortunately, this can sometimes bring with it an overprotective nature, and a tendency to flare up at pretty small things. She has quite the hot temper, and won't stand for nonsense, particularly if she perceives it as some kind of threat to her or her friends. This has led to her being sent off the Quidditch pitch more than once after attacking another team's player for "playing too aggressively". She's also not afraid to throw some punches on the ground, and has received a good few detentions in the past for losing her temper at some poor kid. Backstory: Eva was the first child and only daughter born of two prestigious pureblood families; her mother, Renata Arias, came from a centuries old Chilean family witches and wizards, originating in Spain and emigrating to the country at some point in the 17th century. Her father, Felix Flint, belonged to the Flint family, one of the "Famous Twenty-Eight" as outlined in Canterkous Nott's infamous Pure-Blood Directory. While some disliked their presence in such a controversial book like the Weasley family, the Flint's were proud of it. With Renata coming from similar prejudicial roots, she too appreciated her husband's pure family tree, and his stance on non-Purebloods. By the time Eva was born, it was pretty clear that both parents expected their children to follow in their footsteps. Unfortunately for them, Eva had other ideas. Although only 10 months old by the time her brother Alistair arrived, Eva was clearly going to be the problem child. Loud, antagonistic, and never taking no as an answer, she would have grown up to be nothing more than a spoilt brat if it hadn't been for her grandmother's presence. A typical, no-nonsense woman, Eva's abuela had coped with plenty of stubborn children in her life, with Renata being the worst. Having come to England with her daughter shortly after her marriage with Felix, Antonella both adored and disciplined her grandchildren, knowing fine well her lazy daughter and constantly working Son-in-Law wasn't going to do it. Regardless of this, the Flint siblings still grew up in a rich and decadent environment, never having to do chores thanks to servants and getting enough pocket money every week to buy what they wished. For the most part though, Antonella's influence on them both had positive effects. For Eva, it made her more generous. Although her parents were rather selfish, Eva wouldn't think twice about giving it away to a donation box or some poor child in Florean Fortescue's who couldn't afford their favourite ice cream. It also instilled in her some form of work ethic, though it was only applied to things she knew she was good at; flying her broom, for example, or "borrowing" a servant's wand so that she could have duels with her brother. Still a problematic child, but she improved immensely after joining Hogwarts (Though according to her parents, she simply grew to be more "opinionated".) Hogwarts totally opened Eva's mind - before then, she'd never had the chance to converse with the people her family disliked so much. She was surprised to discover that they were just... normal. Just like her, in every way! In fact, some of the Muggle-Borns were the best students in the class. Everything her parents had fed her since she'd learnt to talk and listen was thrown out of the window. They were wrong in how they thought, and in the way they had taught their children. And regardless of how they would take the news, Eva dove into the world of the Muggles, eager to learn more about this way of life unknown to her. Over the years, her opinion hasn't shifted. She has plenty of Muggle-Born and Half-Blood friends, and yearly rants from her parents hasn't done much to change her mindset. All she hopes now is for Alistair to follow in her footsteps, but he's stubborn in his own way too... regardless of what he's like, she'll still protect him as much as she can. He's still her little brother, after all. Extra: Fluent in Spanish, thanks to her mother's roots. Has remained closer to her Abuela than her parents; although still prejudiced, Antonella doesn't take it quite as seriously as the others in her family. "I'm too old to care that much about people I don't know." Is her excuse, and one Eva can forgive more easily than her parent's venomous attacks on non-Purebloods. Eva and Ali spend Christmas at Hogwarts, as they have since their First Year - it's easier to be away from their parents, and considering the emotional distance, Christmas had never been a fun family holiday anyway. Their abuela visits them though, staying at 'The Three Broomsticks' for the two weeks to spend time with her grandchildren. She's the only one that put effort into the holiday back home anyway.
