It's similar to Skype, but it has a few features Skype doesn't have (like sub-chats inside group chars).

And thanks! It wasn't my intention to make it the old-people-uploading-into-the-cloud thing, but maybe some parts subconsciously seeped into my brains. The timeline of the episode still confuses me. (Yes, I watch Black Mirror too, and I love it)
