I wrote a thing with shift master that we could post as a flash back. I could also have Amber talk with Mariette at some point, as they almost have to. But right now doesn't feel like a good time to do that, and they could probably exchange a few words before departing. Unless you plan on showing every encounter from the recruitment CO[sup]TM[/sup], I'd be fine skipping to that point.
