Hello there, Close Enough here, guess it's time I talk about myself. I'm a 22 year old loser nerd who has been role playing for a few years now. I post as much as I can, sometimes all day, sometimes once a day, I do try to keep you in the loop though. I do try to stay consistent but I have three jobs at the moment so I'm a little busy at times. Scratch that, I'm extremely busy, I haven't had a day off for a month now, but I do make time to get a post up once a day. I do all kinds of styles, so long as it brings in my interest. Sometimes I'll get inspiration from a comment and run with it. Fantasy, sci fi, slice of life. Though my favourites are fantasy, apocalyptic and romantic. I am always up for romance. Though when it comes to smut, I'm not the best at writing it and I won't dwell into it as a main factor in a story, if it makes sense to have it, I'll roll with it, but I do not write to get some erotic story, I want adventures. Rules: If you give me a post that has no love in it. Like a one liner, half assed sentence that I know you can do batter with, I will not reply. You lost my interest entirely. Help me with writing the story. Not really a rule, more of a request. I love world building, but it's so much more enjoyable when my partner grabs hold of the story and works with me. Make your own notes, change it how you want it, and lets build a story together instead of me taking you on a tour. I'm fine with light smut, gore, dark themes ect. I just ask that it is somehow fitting to the story, I'm not going to have our characters bang on the floor the moment they see each other. Things have to make sense. Gotta be 18+ I’ve had some get mad at me for this it this is really to protect me. I’m not a fan of constantly reminding myself what I can and can’t write due to my writing buddy being under age.
It’s the current year, in the big city. Life goes on like any other, people go to work, they come back home, do whatever gives them some kind of joy, repeat. Having no idea what lies just beyond their finger tips. The mirror world is a place separated by a thin veil, ready to be pulled back by select few for unknown reasons. As simple as moving a curtain they can enter an abandoned version of where they once stood. Only for beasts of great and terrifying power to roam the streets, skies and waters. Creatures you’d think were only in legend being the back bone of most of the world’s fantasy artwork and literature since the beginning of time. Human contact inside the mirror world had only just begun a few decades ago. People able to enter netting each other, only to realize the opportunity that came with such a hidden treasure. Drug deals, murder, kidnapping all went on inside the mirror realm, only to recently be pulled back by two factions that rose up from the need humans have of some kind of community. Even in a forgotten world like this one. The hunters and tamers. Hunters are as usually straight and simple. They keep everything under control here. Hunting beasts to make sure population is at a safe number, or simply for sport. While other hunters will use their status and training to satisfy their need to hunt the best sport their world has to offer, other humans. While it’s rare that hunters will go rouge and kill other humans for the simple thrill of it, they are a vital part in keeping the mirror world safe for travelers when it comes to both beasts and other people. Tamers are the calmer side of hunters, with more guts then you could imagine. Seeing the sky turn black with the wings of a Wyvrn like beast, or the grounds shake from moving stone. They thought to use them in any way they could, studying and categorizing to share their knowledge with other tamers and sometimes hunters. The best are known to have multiple long term partner beasts, the creatures somehow knowing where they are in their own world and staying in the general area due to loyalty. Due to this, tamers can often be seen as far more dangerous than anything the mirror world has to offer if they survive long enough to cull a pack of beasts for their protection. You get to play as ether a tamer or hunter. For reasons that are your own, while I play as the other half. Two different views meeting in a world where the only law is made from intelligence and strength while finding a connection to travel the unknown world together.

You are a monster hunter, a hired killer or one for sport, you track and kill beasts of legends for reasons that are your own. The pay is good, the 1% coming to you from time to time to offer coin in exchange for a dragon hide, or vampire teeth. You stand out fairly well in a business that is considered ruthless, and thus, are rewarded with learning about the best jobs with the highest pay. One job is crossing the lines a little too much for you however. A billionaire is offering top dollar, enough to set you up for the rest of your life for a target that seems too good, and too rare to ever pass up. A unicorn, that has taken human form to blend with society.

It speaks for itself. Death, the grim reaper, the ferryman. You are one of the beings that sends lost souls to the next world in peace. Your life and ideas, or reasons for doing so are your own. Yet one night, you find a young woman has been killed in a cold back ally. Forgotten and alone, only to find her soul refusing to leave her body as it heals itself. I’ve done this story twice now, the last one being so close to finishing only for my partner to vanish for some reason. The description is not as detailed as the others, but I had it last a year once.

All thoughts of comfort were gone, as if a candle had been snuffed out, Edan began to step backwards. Her eyes growing wide as her breathing became laboured in what appeared to be a small panic attack. Who was this person? Why was he like this? He loomed over her like the death he was so insistent she had just gone through, screaming like a mad man of how she can see him and that she had just fallen nine stores. It all made no sense, tears were beating at the edge of her eyes when she found stone hit her back. She was trapped, trapped between a wall and one of the most frightening people she had ever seen. When he reached for her, a finger barely grazing her lips, Edan froze. The smell of lilies, lavender and poppies drowning her senses, her heart itself stopping as her brain kept trying to process the words. Why would he say she died? What is going on? Moments of chilling silence passed, her mouth going dry and sweat being washed away in the rain. It was as if chains had been wrapped around her, pulling tighter and tighter till she was at a loss for air. It was when the lightning bolt struck a ways away when she snapped out of it. Like an animal she moved, primal instincts and adrenaline pushing her into a moment. Without warning, the trembling woman snapped her teeth at his finger, trying with all her might to push him away and run, her legs almost giving out and stumbling to the stone only to scramble and catch herself, clawing her way back up till she reached the mouth of the ally. Leaving one horror only seemed to have thrown her into another as she reached for her phone to call for help, only to find it shattered, it wasn't just the screen. It looked like it was ran over, everything was almost fused and crushed together. Her hand was shaking too much to hold it, and as she traced the screen, she found herself flinching at the prick of her thumb when the speckled glass nipped at her skin, crimson leaking out in a small stream. That's what she noticed the rest. It was like a nightmare, her hand, it was as if she painted it in red. "What...so..so much...so..." She reached up to feel the back of her head, her mouth began tasting iron as her air came in laboured, heavy breaths. It looked as if she put red streaks in her chestnut mane, streaming down in the rain yet it was still there. Blood, clumping to the back of her head, yet the only pain in her body was the tightening of her chest at the sheer amount of confusion and fear. "There's so much blood...." She lost control of her actions, she didn't want to do it. She wanted to run, to slam the door to her home shut, to lock it and forget this had ever happened. But she couldn't tear her gaze from her hands, from the phone that was slipping from her grasp and crashing to the unforgiving floor, she could feel a pull at her very being, this is all wrong, everything is wrong. She felt as if she was sewn into a set of clothing too tight, as if she was locked in a box built to her measures, it was suffocating, a hand tightening over her throat till there was nothing left. "I'm Edan...I'm Edan Doe, I'm an...I'm an herbalist, I was feeding Faux and I went to bed! I have nightmares if I watch TV before bed! I put lavender in my tea instead of honey! I hate going outside unless I have my bird Fuax! My best friend's name is Abby! I'm Edan, I'm Edan..." She had to cling to something, yet the more she spoke, the more her voice began to fall apart as she looked back to where the man was. Her arms around her trembling form as though she were holding her broken self together. "I'm Edan Doe, I'm 25 and still very much alive." Yet as she spoke to the male again, she looked back at her hands, they were still red, crusting at her fingers like rust. "What happened to me...Who are you...?"
Side note if things feel a little choppy right now. It’s cause I’m texting half of this on my phone at 2am
