Toby gasped. "Ah... my wing... my foot!" he had fallen on his left hind foot and was limping along. The lights were still falling. "There's not much the two of you can do to get the people out in time, but you can get to that cave!" One of the lights was about to fall on Toby. He looked up and tried to dodge, but his injured foot gave out and he fell on his stomach. The red dragon shut his eyes, not sure if he would survive it.

Suddenly, Lixia arrived and fired a gout of flame at the glowing green sphere, causing it to explode just out of harm's way. 

"Toby! Gods, what happened?!"

"No time! Hold off these lights for as long as you can! Larek! Nyx! You two just get to that cave and see if you can stop this!" Toby roared.

"Right. Let's go, Nyx!" Larek said, starting to run, seeing that several of the multi-colored, explosive lights were incoming fast. Lixia flew up and began to intercept the lights as fast as she could, but she wasn't as strong or as fast as Toby. She could keep it up, but not for nearly as long.
