In the smoldering remains of the old capital, Esorcus used his chaos magic to reform the very fabric of his new kingdom's laws of physics and natural world, before disappearing into the night as if the punchline to some cruel, final joke. Denizens of Esorcus's abandoned Candyland came in two forms; those who found themselves turned into candied abominations as penance for fighting for the armies of men, or the purely candy children of Esorcus -- The Gingerbread Men, The Marshmallow Harpies, The Gumfolk, and the many other candypeople, all abandoned by Esorcus. This is, of course, all the speculation of historians, clergymen, and scholars. The oldest written recordings in caves of the Ice Cream Bay indicate a sea made just as much from root beer as it is now. Ancient tax records of the Chocolate Coin Bank all plainly state conversions from Chocolate Coin to Gummy Dollar. The Candycane Forest has trees with so many swirls that they cannot logically be less than several thousand years old. Nobody knows For as long as anyone can remember, the world has been made out of candy. Whatever came before it is unimportant and not worth asking too many questions about. The point of this roleplay is not for me to convince you the logical steps on how this became a world made out of candy, it is for us all to collectively challenge ourselves to write emotionally gripping tales and characters in a world made out of candy.

The Gummy Kingdom is the largest of the four major kingdoms, with geography supporting life for soft, chewy candies, which make up the widest category of candies. Because it has a surplus of arable farmland, Gummy Kingdom has the most stable economy, highest population, and lowest number of Candybeasts. The Cookie Kingdom is the second largest of the four major kingdoms, with geography supporting life for cookies and cake-based humanoids. Because they have the most mountainous region, Cookie Kingdom has more developed masonry and architecture. They are currently ruled by the Gingerbread Men. [@Sloth] The Ice Cream Kingdom is the second smallest of the four major kingdoms, with geography supporting life for frozen candies. Because it has uncontested access to the Ice Cream Bay in the north and a majority of the control over the soda sea in the West, they have become a naval people predominantly. They are currently ruled by the Popsicle Peoples. [@Deadbeatwalking] The Sour Kingdom is the smallest of the four major kingdoms, with a dry geography spanning from the Sorbet Desert in the north to the Sugar Sands in the south. Because they control the East, they are generally left alone. They are known for their skills in candybeast husbandry. [@Mara]

Are we humans or candy? Humanoid candypeople. Do we bleed blood? Cookies bleed frosting, ice cream people bleed melted whatever-they-are, gummy people kind of bleed gushers filling. How are babies made? With sex. You're just going to have to go with this. Why is that link dead? It will be a discord when I have enough interest here.

Nation Name

Nation Overview

A description of your nation's peoples, physiology, culture, and so on.
