She really hadn’t been one to be invited to parties before, something about how a deaf girl couldn’t really be that fun or maybe it was something about her being to weird. But that didn’t really matter now because here she was, getting ready for a party. Now what did one wear to a party… that was really something she hadn’t ever had to deal with before so she just based an outfit idea on what she had seen in movies mixed with her very limited options from her closet. So basically Fawn just ended up in a simple sundress and no shoes with her natural, long, messy hair down like usual. Looking at the clock she realized she had time to go the long way walking. Smiling happily to herself she grabbed her purse with her whiteboard and markers then ran out of her trailer. Ignoring her parents as they called after her asking her where she was going. Tonight she wanted to enjoy herself, so that is what she is going to do. Fawn lived nowhere near the beach, quiet a good distance away actually, so why walk? Well she loved to explore the outdoors. Maybe it was the name or maybe it was the different sensations she felt through her feet that she didn’t get when being driven around, it didn’t matter. What did matter was that she enjoyed it and walking to the party was a new adventure for her. The first party of her adventure had her walking through the small forest her house was built in. Though short, this part probably took her almost as long as the urban part as Fawn often got caught up just standing in the middle of a clearing with her eyes closed, ‘listening’ to the movement in the forest through the vibrations in the forest floor. This time she also got a bit stuck in some mud for a few minutes, which definitely didn’t help with the set timeline for her walk she had in her head. Once she got out of the forest she had a small walk through a bit of suburbs to get to the most urban area of the hills. This was another favorite part for her as the cars passing by sent weird vibrations through the concrete on the road, which she often got scolded for walking on even though she couldn’t hear the scolding and didn’t bother reading the lips of whoever was doing it. This time after one scolding she didn’t go back on the road because she realized she was getting odd looks, mainly at her feet. She didn’t want to keep drawing attention to herself and get in trouble with the cops again like she had before, that got Fawn in bigger trouble with her parents. After she got out of the Urban area she finally reach where the party was happening, just as she arrived there seemed to be a conflict ending which she was glad to have missed. Fawn was good keeping out of conflict, especially if it was school conflict. Going towards the party Fawn could see the excitement through the door but when she got closer she remembered an important thing. Her feet were muddy. The small redhead frowned and a defeated look took over her face as she looked at her feet, maybe she really wasn’t cut out for partying. Who comes to a party with muddy feet. None of the other girls did, nor the guys. She felt inadequate compared to them, plus she wasn’t sure if people would really want someone like her there. She couldn’t have a normal conversation, it took her awhile to write out answers and sometimes people had to repeat what they said slower so she could read their lips better, those both had lost her friends before. Deciding she should just head home, Fawn turned from the door and began to walk away. She doubted anyone would stop her, but she was a little bit hopeful.
