What would have been a bellow of pain as a human was a furious hiss. Snakes did not have a lot of vocal variety much to his displeasure. But alas, that was not the point here. Attempting to twist his agile and flexible head about he aimed to bite into the runner's ankle. Letting his venom flood into the blood. While he was curious this wasn't the time to enjoy watching the effects. He heard Wonderland's sharp cry and fought to free himself from beneath the damn boy with a vigor. Hissing and striking anything he might. If he could talk- speak!- he might be able to convince the idiot boy of the truth. That he did not give one wit about the human girl Pietro was seeing and was more likely to not harm her than any other. Especially as he went out of his way to avoid harming women.

Ayita Dyrkin

Location Brotherhood Headquarters - New York, New York - Hallway {"Prey."}

Ayita Dyrkin snarled down at Wonderland. There was only the wolf in her eyes, the hunt and the kill in her blood. Growling like the savage thing she was, the wolf lowered her nuzzle to stare the woman in the eyes. Her own were feral and the wolf rejoiced in the terror of one who would harm it's pack. Though Ayita questioned why the wolf was calling her team mates 'pack'. They weren't. Not really. Listening to woman talk of experiments and cages, she almost laughed a growl. Humans? Cage her? They would never find her in the wilderness. Nor the oceans if she was driven there. She ran free in the North for years and only coming into her human form and stealing some luxury had been her downfall. It had been foolish on her part. Something she would not repeat again. Unaware of what she was doing she stared deeply into Wonderland and spoke. More to herself as her own mind reasoned out exactly why this woman would die and not live as the wolf instinct shivered with agreement. With a flow of images and very little of her own quiet voice rebreverating in the victim's mind. "I am nothing like you, Human. Call yourself mutant but you do not feel/think." It was conveyed in words and image but also the feel of running though the forests, of sky open and wind singing under her wings, and then the rush and swell of the ocean and a lonely orca's song. The vast pull of a deeper urge. It was primal instinct, that lurked behind all three. Ayita growled, blood dripping from her teeth from when she fell on the woman earlier. She looked like a monster and sent the woman the feeling that right now, She embraced her hated truth. She was a monster cloaked in the seeming of man and beast. "I will not serve man and your fights with man threaten my territory." Ayita still unknowingly sent this one in bitter cold memory of great mountains and forests of dense green. Remembering her Northern home. "You threat, I must protect." These words however rang clear as the wolf-woman's will raged and roared behind them. Ayita lowered her jaws to brace them tightly around Wonderlands back, her paws ready to push away and take the woman's life with her. Her head pounded from the force it took to shove those words out- she was unsure why she was speaking in her head, but perhaps this woman heard her.
