Hatori took a few deep breaths as Fumika explained her Quirk in greater detail; apparently, Fumika’s Quirk had a limited range, and somehow she had used that ability in the activity the class had yesterday. As she went down a lengthy explanation, Hatori had already gotten down the basic functions of her Quirk already. Basically, Fumika was like a camcorder; she could visually record her surroundings and as long as the images were in her memory, she could also physically reproduce it. It made her wonder – if Fumika’s Quirk was recording and replicating stuff, what was her actual limit? Most Quirks had a limit, whether it was physical or mental, that kept it from being overused. Even Hatori would eventually get exhausted if she used more than a few hundred planes. ”I won’t completely put your Playback ability out of the picture yet. It can still come into use, when they least expect it. Like, maybe they think that one thing’s your recorded images, get them into a false sense of security, and then you surprise attack them with something else!” Hatori realized how incredibly vague her example was after it came out of her mouth, but she was mentioning this from experience – sometimes, you just have to get more creative with your Quirk. She didn’t want to blather about this any longer. She then turned to Takeshi. ”Well, I can do anything normally as long as I’m not in spy-plane mode, otherwise my physical body would be rendered blind,” Hatori answered. ”Walking might be a bit difficult in that case, since I’ll need to control both my physical body and my planes. Needless to say, multitasking like that is disorienting. I need a place to hide or you have to somehow cover me while I’m using it so I’m not vulnerable.” Fumika hadn’t said much after her earlier spurt of talkativeness. In particular, the moment Amane had exerted his aura, she’d seemed to tense up for a moment, and after his injunction not to get in the way, she certainly seemed hesitant to interject anything that might serve the contrary purpose. Nevertheless, when prompted by Takeshi’s question, she did manage a quiet answer, although her murmured response was difficult to hear through her high collar. “Moving is… no problem.” Hatori rolled her eyes at Amane’s comment, which was not only vague but also somewhat condescending. It was almost like they didn’t deserve to know about him, and normally that would have ticked her off, but for now, she was willing to hold off her emotions to finish this activity. She heard a few names that were familiar to her from Takeshi’s descriptions, namely Jett and Dulga. Apparently, Jett could teleport, and was related to the Valkryies. She knew about them – they were a group of heroes that resided in Japan, but were even greater celebrities in the United States. And his gramps was the Frenchman… Damn, Jett’s in a family of big shot heroes. I mean, he’s a Haven, but I never knew he was part of that Haven family… There was also Dulga, the girl she met last night with the mask. Takeshi mentioned something about her having six arms, immense strength, and skilled at marksmanship. And that big masked girl is a six-armed sniper? Hatori also heard about Roy and “JoJo”, and she also remembered that winged boy, who could try to contest her air dominance. By the time Takeshi had finished speaking, Hatori looked up and saw that same winged boy zipping across the sky. So he’ll be a problem...I’ll need to deal with him. She thrusted her arms out and palms up; within a second, several sheets of paper came out from the dispensers in her sleeves, and she swiftly pressed together the creased lines to form several dart planes, ready to be thrown. Takeshi glanced at Hatori when she explained her use of spy planes. He thought for a second but before he could say anything, Hatori readied a few planes after checking the sky. He had only caught a glimpse of him, but sure enough Acion had flown by. However he seemed targeted in someone else. “He is focused on someone else; he probably won't survive a four versus one fight. Lets save time and move to the point of contention. If you need, you can hold onto me while you use your spy planes. It’s essential we keep moving. I’ll guide you and protect you during that time.” he said, looking back to Hatori. “We’re going in already?” Fumika seemed surprised, but didn’t question Takeshi’s decision any further, evidently accepting that they were just going to go with Amane’s proposed change in strategy and advance in his wake, rather than waiting things out as planned. “Alright… Understood. Starting Recording.” As she spoke, a single strand of her bangs that had previously been drooping across the bridge of her nose slowly straightened itself until it stood bolt upright, seeming to wobble just a little bit back and forth as if it was a receiver dish rotating in search of a signal. There was a faint static crackle that rushed down from her head to the very end of her incredibly long hair, the braid at the end of it beginning to unravel and curl upward as a crimson bar worked its way around the crown of her head, with a single dot of scarlet radiance manifesting itself above her left temple. At the same time, a matching glow flashed from under her visor, forming an indistinct red light that radiated in front of her face through the opaque glass, like a single red mono-eye. “No enemies within range. So, then... Umm… Be careful, Mr. Samurai.” The girl reported quietly before returning to her usual silence. Amane simply kept to himself and moved forward. It seemed as though the other people on his team were not as useless as he thought they would be. They were fully able to take care of the annoying work of finding a foe. “Alright then,” he said before advancing forward. Amane decided to cut straight through, towards the point of interest instead of taking the main road to the north. The path he was taking was sure to be full of obstacles and even the unknown. Mr.Yoshida smiled as he picked up the microphone inside the command quarters. He was linked in with all of the teams communication systems and could hear everything they were saying as well as track their whereabouts. “Seems like you are up. Team D should be making their way towards you location. You are free to engage but dont rough them up too badly alright?” he spoke into the microphone. The man on the other side of the microphone smiled as he replied to L guardian. “Alright...I will give them a taste of the real world,” the man's voice was deep and scraggly, almost as if he had succumbed to the effects of smoking cigarettes. He laid still in patience, perfectly blended into the lake. It was difficult to see him through regular means, but surely one of the team members from group D would pick up on the mysterious entity in the water. “Don’t worry about holding back too much; this group has contains young and talented heroes. Give them a nice welcoming party if you don’t mind.” “Aye, I know exactly what you mean,” the man replied, moving closer to the shore right within the range of team D’s superior detection skills. It was time to test the prowess of this super team. Hatori glanced at Takeshi as he spoke, throwing the planes as he finished speaking. She was unsure of following this student she never knew of, especially since his first impressions weren’t exactly positive, but chances are that if they didn’t follow him, he would have gone on his own anyways and compromised their plans. The planes she just threw promptly hovered in the air and started to circle the group. ”Alright, we’ll deal with bird boy later while he’s busy with another team. And um...yeah, I can hold onto you once I have the ability active,” she replied reluctantly. She was not too comfortable with grabbing onto another guy, even if it was for non-intimate reasons. There was no need to waste energy on her spyplane ability until they were near the point; Fumika’s Recording ability should suffice. And off they went. Amane seems to be taking them directly towards the point. They were traversing through some narrower community roads and a bit of forestland. But, just as they began passing around the edge of a small lake, Fumika abruptly froze in place, that single strand of hair atop her head wobbling violently and then jabbing towards the edge of the water. The crimson glow under her visor flashed ever brighter, and then… “Over there! Someone’s coming from under the water!” She exclaimed abruptly, gesticulating forcefully as she tried to get her team’s attention before the ambush she expected. “But it’s strange… he’s really big, like the cloak-girl, but he’s definitely not her. He’s all scaly and slimy… I’ve never seen this person before, so why is he here? If he’s here, doesn’t that make him an enemy?” She began glancing around in momentary confusion, as if to verify some suspicion, then stared back at the waterfront. “He’s all alone, too, but he’s still coming this way… Shouldn’t he know that there’s four of us? Why’s he attacking alone?” Hatori stopped in her tracks, turning towards the lake once Fumika alerted the group to a potential enemy. Her paper planes turned accordingly. ”No way one of the students already noticed us. And he’s coming towards us. Either he’s exceptionally brave or exceptionally stupid, she thought. Looks like the cover was blown on the crocodile in the water. With a toothy grin a large scaly creature rose from the water on his hind legs, his scales shown a dark green almost like a dirty emerald color. The lake water flowed quickly his body as he stared at the unlucky bunch. He was about as big as Amane suited up in his knights armor. You could see how battle worn the man was from all the cuts and scrapes he had on his scales. “Aye lads...you have some bad luck rolling me as your opponent,” Master Croc, a man with a mutation quirk giving him the physiology of a crocodile. The title "Master" was fitting; he was a master of multiple fighting styles, from Brazilian jiu-jitsu to Muay Thai...he even throws some wrestling into the mix. The man let out an ear splitting yawn that shook the land. “Agh. I waited long enough.” The croc took a neutral stance as he exited the lake. His beady eyes looked left to right surveying the group. In just two steps he was directly in front of Takeshi preparing a for a chop right to his neck. He held back a bit with the speed so it was just right for the boy to dodge if he managed to react in time. Takeshi narrowed his eyes when Fumika mentioned the incoming enemy. “Yes it does, Motome-san…” He lifted his sword, only a inch or two from it’s lowered state. The man who came out was Master Croc. He had heard of him before, and knew getting into a hand to hand combat with him would be idiotic, as Takeshi himself was far from a master in martial arts, let alone six different types. He wasn’t afraid though, this knowledge only raised his cautiousness. Master Croc didn’t wait long until he attacked. It was clear he was holding back because of his role, and that was his first mistake. He raised his blade up and ducked his head just enough for Master croc’s arm to slide along his blade, not really deflecting the man’s arm from its original target. He didn’t expect his sword to cut through his scales and as soon as he knew the arm had passed over he flicked his wrist and struck with all his speed at the masters head with the flat part of his blade, twisting at just the last moment so he didn’t cut him. There was a patter of booted feet scrambling across the pavement behind him. That spot, only about three feet back and to his right…that was where Fumika had been standing, right? A wordless battle-cry confirmed his suspicions. The next instant, she came rushing into view from the side, faintly glowing silver-gold hair trailing behind her like the tail of a comet, planting her left foot firmly beneath her and bringing up her right leg in a spinning high kick aimed at Master Croc’s solar plexus. While it might have seemed reckless given his advantage of both skill and physical power, with one of his arms overextended from his earlier blow, and the other likely occupied in redirecting the significantly more threatening sword strike away from his head, their reptilian adversary couldn’t afford to launch any significant counterattack against her without overextending himself. Even if he batted her kick aside, she could simply complete her pivot, regain her footing, and disengage while Takeshi himself pressed the attack. On the other hand, he’d be forced to either take the blow head-on while dealing with Takeshi’s sword attack, or to disengage completely, giving them a little distance and allowing them to press the offensive. The hell? Within seconds, the group was attacked by this crocodile guy; he was way too mature, judging by his deeper tone and larger frame, which was much like Dulga’s, but Dulga’s physique lacked the physical development of an adult’s. It took a moment to realize that this crocodile person was possibly Master Croc – she barely knew about him, only that he was a pro hero. What was he doing here? And what did he mean “rolling him as an opponent”? Was the team meant to fight him by random chance? With Takeshi and Fumika in the way, Hatori was a bit frustrated that she couldn’t get a clear shot of him from the front without accidentally hitting them as well. Her planes were forced to go around towards the pro hero’s back, though she wasn’t going to shoot him just yet. ”Get out of the way, crocs!” she exclaimed, sliding out another small stack of paper from her left arm. ”We’ve got an objective and other teams to dealt with, we don’t have time to deal with you!” With a smile Master Croc surveyed the attacks as they were quick to combine their attacks to get the jump on the pro but he was already prepared for this. The man opened his gaping maw and caught Takeshi’s sword with his sharp teeth. The man then whipped his head left with enough force to take the boy off his feet. With his super senses he could feel the heat of another attacker from behind. Instinctively, he turned his back to the girl so that her kick would land on the more protective side of his scales while swinging his tail into the samurai boy with enough force to send him sliding against the ground. As the boot of the girl struck the mans scales he jolted his body a bit forward. He actually felt that one surprisingly, it was like he got hit with a boot full of lead. With a smirk he turned back to a neutral stance giving a toothy grin. So far the two pups who attacked him weren't that bad, but they still had a lot more to prove. Takeshi didn’t think that slight of a twist would be enough time for Croc to react, and clearly he was wrong as his sword was caught in the pro’s teeth. He tried to pull it from his hands, and he resisted but it was just a feint for using his tail to slam into him and send him sliding backwards on his back. Before he came to a stop he curved his back so his feet would come up and cause him to flip over. His feet caught the ground as he whipped his head up so he didn’t hurt his neck and slid to a stop. “Aye lad, I am a master in close combat. If you think your going to beat me without attacking me like I am a villain, you’re not getting past me. I know you're capable of it, and I can see it in your eyes,” the pro then shifted his into a bent over Brazilian jiu-jitsu stance. The man then turned to the small pilot girl saying that they have an objective and other teams to beat which made the Croc roar in laughter. He then pointed his sharp thumb at himself before lecturing the group. “You have bigger things to worry about, you'll have to get past me if you want to get back in the game...now tell me why exactly you all want to become heroes. I'll take verbal explanations,” The man then twisted his head looking at the samurai, the knight, and the blonde girl who had just kicked him, rubbing away the pain. Surely he would have to pay her back for what she did. “Or if you want to show me why with your fighting spirit. I'll be happy to evaluate,” the man said as he took a large leap through the air as he went for an axe kick on the small pilot. Though this was merely a feint, he had enough force to crack the ground. Fumika hopped backward, swiftly pivoting to regain her footing and then disengaging as quickly as possible. Her brows furrowed in what might have been a grimace. Even though she’d connected directly with her full strength, it didn’t seem like she’d done more than cause their unexpected enemy a minor inconvenience. She began to circle to one side at the edge of Master Croc’s periphery, slowly moving closer to Takeshi to get back behind him without leaving herself open to attack. Hatori grumbled as the pro hero easily shook off Fumi and Takeshi’s barrage. He had taken a hit from Fumika’s shoes, but it barely seemed to injure him. Unless she concentrated fire onto some part of his body, there was no way her dart planes would be able to penetrate his protective scales, though there were a few spots she could target... ”This is real annoying...guess I have no choice, right?” she muttered, with another small stack of paper sliding out onto her right arm as well, this one a bit different than her other stack – it was construction paper, which was heavier and thicker than normal. The stronger the material, the more hard-hitting it was going to be. She stared at Master Croc, her face turned stern. ”This world is filled with people with problems, problems that they can’t just solve by themselves. I’ve seen both sides of the coin and I much rather be the one that solves those problems than lash them out onto others,” she replies, glancing at him. ”But I’m not getting into any long winded speeches, and I’m not going to continue hearing you lecture. I’m just going to beat you down.” Takeshi’s eyes narrowed at the mans comment about seeing villainous intent in his eyes. That’s the last thing he wanted, and this irked him to wanting to prove him more wrong. Takeshi didn’t have an issue with cutting his opponents, as he had enough training to know where to cut without killing them. He then went on talking to Chiwa, but jumped up to attack her. Reaching out to Hatori, he closed his hand slightly, only his forefinger and middle finger sticking father out, twisting his hand he pulled his arm up and across his body at a forty five degree angle upward. As he did this, the dark shadow that was behind Hatori suddenly pooled together instantly in four points and shot upward at Master Croc, hitting the man in four spots – two at his shoulder joints, and another two on the top of his legs next to his pelvis – stopping him in the air. “HATORI-SAN, FALL BACK!” He said quickly as he stood up, preparing to attack, but making sure he held it long enough for her to get away. Master Croc tried to do a flying kick onto her; thankfully, she was quick enough to dodge the attack; as Hatori was stepping back, she rapidly folded and threw her planes. They immediately fired a hail of paper projectiles towards the crocodile hero, controlling her fire enough to not hit Takeshi behind him or Fumika nearby. Here she demonstrated some of her skill; she was backing up to increase distances between her and the pro hero, and was already preparing more paper planes – more complex fighters to support the weaker dart planes. She circled around opposite to Takeshi so she could get a clear shot, and soon noticed that Amane had yet to take action. ”Care if you help, noble knight?” she shouted derisively. Amane had been off to the side watching the whole battle go down; he wanted to evaluate how the others would do precisely, and Master Croc provided him a nice display. Though they never seemed to have worked together, they were fairly in sync with their attacks. The boy reached for the bar on his hip and pulled out his retractable staff. With one hand, he twirled it around until it was full length before giving a couple of swings and loosening the muscles in his right arm. Raising his left hand, he opened his palm and soon a black orb appeared from thin air, laying harmlessly in his hand before floating up and circling around the knight’s body. He was sure he could deliver a decisive blow with his black hole if it made direct contact, and had a clear shot since the foe’s position was fixated due to Takeshi's shadow. He held the staff with poise and a strong grip, as if the rod was an extension of the boy himself. Amane took a leap from the ground, moving rather quickly for someone in a full body armor. The boy demonstrated his athletic ability in front of his team as he grabbed and vaulted on each of the shadow pillars the samurai made, deflecting the projectile fire from the pilot until he reached the top in which he thrusted the tip of the staff into Master Crocs chest, delivering a solid bow and knocking him free into the air. Amane could feel the toughness of the pro hero’s scales as he drove the staff into his core. He then leapt from the top of the shadow, twirling his staff in a circle to gain momentum; while doing so, the same purple aura from earlier enveloped the knight, making his armor appear a slight pink as he altered his own gravity to empower his next strike. The boy then gripped the rod by the lower half and slammed it into the man's collarbone, forcing the two to crash towards the earth. Large portions of dirt was kicked up around the group upon making impact. He was slightly shorter in height compared to the others, mainly due to the large hole he had made in the ground. Though something felt...off? He felt his staff was rather shaky, as if someone was grabbing it. The pro smiled as the samurai made use of his aerial position; acting quickly, he halted the pro hero’s assault and created an opening for his teammates to strike. Excellent. These kids are smarter than they look. His quiet appraisal for the group ended when the small girl remarked. She had a bit of venom in her tone, but clearly had some fire in her heart. She surely wanted to make a difference, and displayed some of her resolve by recklessly trash-talking the pro. When she said she was going to beat the man down he couldn’t help but laugh hysterically. ”Hoho, you’re going to beat me down?” That was when the man saw her pull out a stack of...construction paper? He soon figured out what the girl had planned, as it soon turned into paper planes that were like miniature fighter jets. They came to life and were soon shooting small bullets into the crocs back which felt like a bunch of mosquito bites, giving the man a killer itch. At this moment was when the knight made his move without hesitation. The man’s underside was clearly open and extended, his eyes followed precisely as the boy darted from pillar, maneuvered his way past the plane fire, and struck at his core. In the split second before he hit the croc moved adjusted himself so the blow wasn’t as damaging and flexed his pectorals. He ensured that the strike would hit his upper chest and knock the man off his crucifix. The croc was soon on a one way ticket down to the floor but he noticed the boy was not finished yet. Predicted that the boy would most likely follow up with a overhead smash once he hit the ground though his calculations was slight off. He didn’t take into account who this boy was related to and what his quirk was, the knight came much much faster and powerful than expected. Holding out his left hand in a split second he grabbed onto the staff before it could make contact with his collarbone stopping the powerful attack. The two crashed into the ground with Amane looming over him. Holding his staff the man gave a small smirk. “Oi, I am going to feel that in the morning...” the impact was much stronger than an average fall, comparable to falling from a height of thirty feet, much preferred over a collarbone strike. The Crocodile gripped the staff ferociously stopping all momentum and showing the clear difference in raw strength. With his left hand he thrusted the staff away from him shoving the boy into the air. The man rose from his feet, groaning a bit and shaking the dirt off his scales. He placed his hand on his afflicted back, trying to ease the pain. “I know that Quirk from anywhere...you’re related to the Gravity Yarl? I heard of the kid who was going to be the next Gravity Yarl. They even nicknamed you Yasunari Jr,” the man said with a gleam of fire in his eyes; Amane’s secret was out now on how he was related to the principal. “He’s trained you well, no doubt about that, but…” The man then fell into a Shaolin horse stance, his feet spread farther than his shoulder length and his knees bent as he sat his body down. His right arm was outward and he made a sturdy fist that was dead still in the air as if it was isolated in ice. His presence was different, like he was ready to go into the kill. "It is ten years too early for all of you to challenge me!”
