I haven’t thought much about the religious development beyond the idea that Nordic Paganism might’ve been reformed at some point. Our equivalents of Greece and Italy might be still following a version of Greek Hellenism rather than Christian doctrines. I’ve always been fascinated by that idea. But yeah, I’m cool with Nordic (and German by proxy) Paganism being pretty prominent in Nordland and neighboring countries. I don’t see any reason to make this super rigid in a Christian clubhouse where a “no pagans allowed” sign hangs over the ladder, haha.
Lol. But that's a really interesting idea. In fact, I think that those nations would eventually drift to a place similar to Japan if it wasn't for Christianity. Religion would still exist, but the people wouldn't be as held back by it as they were. Mainly because old practices, like constant sacrifices, are very boring to keep up with. Then again, if a sacrifice was an excuse for free barbecue like on Ancient Greece, I don't see why not do it every now and then.
